Throughout history we have seen many tyrants create and even maintain conflict just to further their own ends, resulting in the loss of many innocent lives. The likes of Muammar Gaddafi, Joseph Kony, Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler. These self-obsessed leaders have only come to power by being corrupt and creating conflict causing thousands of innocent people to suffer, they have used their high authority to steal land, money and even force their religious views/options. Roughly 66,000 innocent children have been abducted and made to kill their parents by Kony; 20,000 people were killed during Gaddafi’s reign; 300,000 people were murdered by Benito Mussolini and 7 million were executed or worked to death by Hitler. In total, at least 7386,000 people were murdered all because tyrannical, self-obsessed leaders wanted to further their own ends.
Bacon’s Rebellion and Metacom’s War also known as King Philip’s War were two of these conflicts that greatly hurt the relationship between these two peoples. During Metacom’s War multiple towns in the colonies of Plymouth, Massachusetts bay, Rhode Island, and Connecticut were attacked. These attacks left thirteen town completely destroyed and pushed the colonist back toward the east coast. This battle which started in 1675 lasted just about fourteen months and ended in 1676. During Bacon’s Rebellion, we can see where the colonist retaliated against the Native Americans despite the wishes of their
Running head: Historical Carrie Walker HTH-379 Grand Canyon University July 1, 2012 Introduction In today’s society we have a separation of church and state, but during the middle ages, the church was the state, most of the time. Church Rule The plague hit Rome early in 590 A. D., the city was in agony. Floods and wars together with the plague took its toll. Sore throat, black outbreaks and a swift demise were leaving wagons loaded high with the dead. People went crazy, Rome became a desert, and Pope Pelagius II died, screaming in pain (Shelley, 2008).
This protest could be seen as the beginning of the end for Tsar Nicholas II as he called his army to open fire on all the protesters, killing several hundred protestors. Because of the high death count this event is known as ‘Bloody Sunday’. This caused more people to lose respect for the monarchy and began to lose loyalty from his army, an example of this would be in June 1905, the crew of the battleship Potemkin rebelled in the Russon-Japanese War. Because of this Nicholas was faced with two choices, a continuence of the current condictions or consitiutional reform. The reforms that Nicholas signed in October 1905 promised the people of Russia, civil liberties, freedon of speech, freedom of assembly and that no laws are to be introduced without the agreement of the Duma.
Many people started boycotting this tax, and they had the Sons of Liberty to support them. The Sons of Liberty were a group that encouraged boycotts, held public meetings, and intimidated royal officials. In 1770, British troops opened fire on a boycotting crowd killing five civilians. This was known as the Boston Massacre and was

The murder ignited widespread hostilities which finally turned into war between the Pequot and colonists. Uncas and Roger Williams helped the English colonists to fight the Pequot. Some neighboring tribes remained neutral during the 1637 war. Nearly 600 members of Pequot tribe were killed when their port near Mystic River was set on fire. The massive killings crippled Pequot’s resistance; they moved away from their territory.
However, the releases were spread out, with many months between the recording and the release of each album. During this time, Vikernes became a part of the early Norwegian black metal scene and befriended Mayhem guitarist Euronymous. He also took part in burning down four churches, along with other members of the scene. In August 1993, Vikernes stabbed Euronymous to death outside his apartment in Oslo. He was arrested a few days later and, in May 1994, was sentenced to 21 years in prison for both the murder and the church
Approximately25 million people died. Many cities were wiped out including the medieval cities Lamen and Thurgau. The Black Plague killed many but it affected England the most. They lost one third of there population. The church lost man power and impoverishment through not being able to cultivate their vast tracts of land.
Mass immigration was widely feared by many Americans due to a number of reasons. Firstly, there was a great amount of friction between those immigrating post 1900 and those who had immigrated pre 1900 due in many cases to a clash in religious beliefs, as those who had immigrated from Northern Europe before where mainly Protestant, whereas those after were mainly Catholics and Jews. This caused many of the Protestants who had already settled to blame the incoming Catholics for many things, and tensions were worsened by the construction of organizations such as the American Protestant Association, who’s sole purpose was to combat Catholicism. Furthermore, many of those who immigrated were of diversely different nationalities than the White Anglo Saxon Protestants (WASPs) who were already settled in America and had most of the political power. This predominantly Protestant power base caused disputes with the Catholics who immigrated to America, as the Catholics felt disenfranchised and apathetic due to the politicians in power not being able to relate to their culture.
