The Day That Changed My Life

October 4, 2011 runs through my head every time I step foot in a vehicle. That day was one of the worse days of my life, but it changed the way I look at life. That day started off as normal. I got in my 1996 white Jeep Wrangler and turned right out of my neighborhood and went to school. At three fifteen in the afternoon the bell rang for dismissal. I proceeded to the parking lot and got in my Jeep headed to one of my buddy Luke’s house who was on homebound for Mono. This particular day he was feeling up to par and wanted me to come hang out with him while it lasted. So I drove to his house and we made plans on what we would do next. Before we decided what to do another one of our buddies Russ showed up. While we were all there sitting in his living room we came up with the idea to go and shoot some hogs on my land that were a nuisance. So we hit 441 and headed that way. We didn’t see any hogs on my land so we decided to go back to Luke’s house and play Xbox to kill some time. On the way back we decided to hit a dirt road that had a lot of jumps and have a little fun , this decision changed me and my two buddies life forever. We went down the dirt road and jumped all the jumps. We didn’t get enough air on the first ride so we decided to turn around and hit it again , this time a little bit faster though. Again we made it all the way through and we were going to do it one more time, but I came up with the idea that we would ride down a little bit more and hit another dirt road that ran parallel to this one and drift the sharp curve there. This is where the day to a sharp turn for the worse. The second my tire left the payment all I heard in my ear was “faster, faster, faster” and I floored it! The time I got the curve I was in fourth gear and running over forty five miles per hour. When I hit the curve I turned the wheel to the
