Robert Ross Testimony My name is frank gore and I want to tell you how the lord Jesus Christ came into and changed my life. I was born in Philadelphia Pa. into an awesome and loving family. I was raised on good morals such as honesty, reliability, and trustworthiness. I was raised catholic and went to a catholic grade school as well as an all-male catholic high school. My life growing up was awesome. I had good friends, close family and was provided with all the necessities needed for life. When I was twelve years old my father got really ill due to lung cancer. He was my best friend and we did everything together. We watched sports, he took me to my sporting events, and most importantly he taught me how a real man should act and behave. When I was fifteen years old my father passed away and it took a huge toll on my life. I turned to drugs and alcohol. That was one of the worst decision I had made in my life. I fell into all the snares the devil had put in my way. The addictive way led me to become a thief, a liar, and a person who was ready to give up on life. My family didn’t want anything to do with me. They didn’t want me around the house, around my nieces and nephews, but the one thing they didn’t do was give up on me. I was caught in the addiction lifestyle for over 10 years which included methadone maintenance, injecting cocaine, and taking Xanax daily. The thought of suicide was very entertained in my mind. I tried going into narcotic anonymous meetings and alcoholics anonymous but their always seemed that there was something missing in my life. After several years of trying those different types of programs I knew I had to make a change. My mother ran into some guys from a Teen Challenge Ministries program and she was fully convinced it was the best decision for my life. And it was.
