William Stafford’s poem “Ask Me” is an interesting poem catching my attention with the way the poem brings out the true core of life. Life is very like a roller coaster; with every second going by you encounter unexpected ups and downs making your emotions go everywhere. After reading this poem I realized that I too look at life in many of the same ways as William Stafford. Throughout my life I have had many different experiences, both good and bad, that have made me who I am today. If anything has made me who I am today it would be the hardships that I have encountered throughout my years and the many mistakes I have made while growing up.
Kennedy was also a horrible moment in 1968. This had a large impact on the US. This is because many people looked up to him. Both the white and black communities supported him. Just a few months earlier he had said a speech announcing the death of MLK.

The Ultimate Decision Jazmin N. Haskett Eng 121: English Composition I Joyce Pierce-Yamahata 10/15/12 The Ultimate Decision October 27, 2011 was one of the most exciting days of my life. I completed a six month therapeutic community drug program. I was extremely happy that Tuesday morning, but when I stepped through the doors of a halfway house with no clue of how I was going to re-integrate back into society a chill went down my spine. I was broke and my self-esteem was in the basement. Two weeks later, I decided that in order for me to make “good” money, upgrade my skills, and begin a career; I needed to return to college.

This past weekend I was able to take a trip out to Charlottesville Va to see the Monticello which is the home of Thomas Jefferson. I had a wonderful time there and I loved all of the views that you get of the great mountain sides inside the house. I took a trip out there to see my old high school football team play in the State Championship game. It’s a little expensive to see the house, it cost us 17 dollars a piece to get a tour of the beautiful place, and it was well worth every penny. The whole place is great from the welcome center, Shops and the Monticello it’s self.
On May 15th of 2002, the Mets were playing the Montreal Expos in Shea Stadium and my father had obtained two front row seat tickets to the game via his business partner.
