A moment later, Joel's father disappeared; he was never heard from again. Next to tell their story was Casper Gattan, which was a name that he gave himself because he had no memories of childhood. When Casper Gattan returned from an out of town trip and was coming inside through the back door, he saw someone escape in the darkness just like Joel Hetman had. The last part he talked about is that he in a dream-like state strangles his wife in bed. Finally, the late Julia Hetman tells her story through Medium Bayrolles.

The curious incident of the dog in the night time is a story about a fifteen year old boy who finds a neighbours dog dead on the front lawn. Christopher, then embarks on a quest to find who killed the dog called Wellington. This book is very hard to understand as this book like the mind of Christopher, as he is has Asperger’s Syndrome. The writer Mark Haddon has written this book so Christopher is telling the reader the story. Even though it is hard to understand when you read further into it you begin to understand not only the story but also Christopher.

In the novel, The Curious Incident of The Dog in the Night-Time written by Mark Haddon, 3 characters that I enjoyed reading about were Christopher, Judy and Ed. Christopher is a 15 year old teenage boy who has Asperger’s . He doesn’t really understand how people are feeling. Christopher is really adventurous because he likes solving mysteries, for example, he decides to write a book about who killed the dog, Wellington. Christopher also went to London by himself and when he was in a really difficult situation, for example he was in a crowded space at the train station; he tried to solve maths equations, puzzles and diagrams in his head to show how he made his own decisions.
He lives in Oxford with his wife Dr. Sos Eltis, a Fellow of Brasenose College, Oxford, and their two young sons. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mark_Haddon 3. What was your first impression upon reading the first few pages of this novel? My first impression was that the book did not begin with an introduction; instead it happen a thing right away. Christopher describes how his memory is like a computer, he can fast forward and rewind any moment in his past but when he has his first disagreement with his father they physically clash, he shuts down. He says he had no memory for a short while and it was like someone switched him off. 6. Christopher discovers his mother’s letters when he goes and looks for his notebook. He discovers that his father had kept the letters she had written to him hidden away and lied about her death.
Christopher's problems required special attention of his father who has to cook his meals which involved his eating habits, clean his clothes, look after him on weekends and when he gets sick or into trouble. Christopher's problems are mostly the reason why his parents got divorced as they both had different opinions about how to deal with him. One day Christopher sees his neighbors dog wellington dead on the garden and he hold him still until the police arrived that became a big problem for christopher because as the police man touched him he punched the policeman, and christopher was blamed and considered guilty because of his
