The curious incident of the dog in the night-time The book is written by Mark Haddon. He was born in 1962 in Northampton. 2003 Haddon wrote the novel “The curious incident of the dog in the night-time” and won the Whitbread Book Awards that year, and are now sold in more than two million copies. The book is written from the perspective of a boy with Asperger syndrome. He says on his website that he knows very little about the subject, and that he also recommends other to read other different books about Asperger syndrome. This book is written out of Christopher´s perspective, he actually wrights a book in school and it is that book you read. The story takes place in Swindon, UK. Christopher Boone, fifteen years old, are the main character and he suffer from Asperger syndrome. He lives with his father Ed Boone and he describes early in the book that his mother Judy Boone died two years ago. Christopher live his “normal life” in Swindon but one day he founds the neighbor Mrs Shears dog Wellington dead in her garden and that is the beginning of Christopher´s adventure. He decides to investigate who killed Wellington and wrights down what he founds out in this book. But his father do not like that Christoper does that so hi confiscates the book. When Christoper search for the book in his fathers room he finds some letters addressed to him, from his mother. Ed, his father had hide the letters from Christoper. When Ed finds Christoper on his room with the letters he understand that he have read the letters and he confess that he had hide them, and also that it was he who killed Wellington. Christoper got scared and thought that if his father had killed Wellington he would might kill him to.
