Joshua was a natural born genius. All his life schools have pushed him ahead in classes, instead of letting him stay with students his own age. This caused him to not have as many friends as he should have. While I was down in Alabama he became one of my closest friends. He really is fun, energetic, and has a great sense of humor.
I remember he was into music from a game called Final Fantasy which led to him printing out the music and after dinner every day up until the show he practiced. I remember being too shy to enter the talent show and I remember he told me, “Sis’ you have to live and not care what anyone thinks of you” (Sandoval). He had said nothing more and left the option open. Steven never criticized or made fun of anyone for their short comings he always encouraged. He has the self determination to challenge himself.
All Chris cared about was making people laugh that was his life’s motive. He fed off of other people’s happiness even if he was miserable. Some say he may have had a form of a Somatoform Disorder or Behavioral Disorder. Chris was constantly sent down to the office for being extremely disruptive and disrespectful in class just to entertain his peers. Chris’s father never truly yelled at him for what he did just because of how cute he was as a child, Chris was usually allowed to do whatever he wanted this gave him this sense of empowerment but at the same time caused him to grow this self-independence.
Victor Frankenstein was born into a loving and caring family, with his mother and father and orphan adopted sister, Elizabeth. Victor was always a quick learner and studied sciences, chemistry and had a fascination with electricity. He left home to continue his studies in science at the University of Ingolstadt (Shelley, page 50). During his time at the university, he impresses his professors and fellow class mates with his own philosophies. As his term was ending at Ingolstadt, Victor wanted to practice his philosophy of recreating human life.
The theory states that labeling becomes a major part of self-concept and that people tend to focus way to much on labels rather than a person themselves. The Saints were a group of eight “good” white upper-middle class guys. They all made good grades and participated in several school activites and sports. Each of them were well-dressed, well- mannered, and drove nice cares. They made it very unapparent to everyone of how much trouble they actually got into.
Throughout the novel A Separate Peace , Finny is afflicted with pain both physically and emotionally which changes the students and teachers of Devon forever. Finny is one of the most well know and popular students at Devon private school. Well Finny has gained this popularity through his confidence. It was becoming more complex, especially in math. I enjoyed the challenge even if I didn’t fully understand, so I would ask my friends at school for help. They would always be happy to, and even laughed with me about the silly mistakes I would make because I was never careful to pay attention to
He got the real experience of joy and devastation instead of just seeing it behind the protection of his castle walls. Lastly, Gilgamesh learned how much his people worked and had to suffer because of him. At the end of the book, he looks at the wall his people have built for him and sees how much effort is really put into everything that seemed so small and easy to him before. The elders also supported him, gave him good advice and moral support. Gilgamesh never thought about how hard his people had it, and he would have continued to think that they had it easier than they really did.
However, Atticus encouraged reading and prompted his daughter to read every night with him. In the 1930’s only someone truly intelligent would have promoted reading to their kids at such a young age, and that’s another reason why Atticus is a genius. Finally, Atticus is also incredibly smart because while most of his peers are shooting at targets or playing football, Atticus would rather read. Although he was already a successful lawyer, he still worked hard to improve his knowledge through reading. In a town where reading was shunned, Atticus always promoted it.
We often did activities and projects that made us think about and study the material in a way that was not the norm. I ended up with a 96 in the class and it is one of my best final grades from high school. 3. The first thing a good student needs is work ethic. If you have a good work ethic and always get your work done on time then you never have to worry about not doing well in a class.
