Christmas day that ruined my life It was a lovely day. The sky was blue as sapphire, sun’s blazing, people’s laughter filled the air and the weather was simply perfect. It was a lovely Christmas day but I wasn’t enjoying it, at all. Two days before Christmas, I asked the most beautiful girl out. After proofreading eight times, I sent her a message that says, “Do you want to go out with me on Christmas day?” I then stared at the clock for exactly thirty two minutes before she replied a yes with a smiley face. I was the happiest man on earth. In those two days, I did over five hundreds pushups, two hundreds abdomen crunches and a deep cleansing facial treatment. On Christmas day, I arrived at the location two hours early. I was confident because I was well-prepared. People always say time flies when you are excited, it’s true. Tick tock, tick tock, fifteen minutes left. I suddenly realized something and it made my confidence turned sour and my palm was sweating. I forgot the front row tickets to the Christmas concert. As soon as I realized that, my feet started beating down the ground and I took off. Here’s something you would not have thought of: A speeding van ran over my leg at a cross road, on Christmas day. Isn’t it perfect? The next thing I knew is that I was on the way to the hospital. My head was spinning. All I heard is the siren of the ambulance, everything else seemed blurry and unreal. I can't tell whether my face was wet because of sweat, tears, or blood. Everything seemed like a nightmare, except it wasn't. I knew right away that it wasn't a dream because the heart-tearing pain was real. My conscious didn’t last long, I fell into darkness again. The next time I open my eyes to some speeding light passing by in front of my eyes, at first I thought it was heaven. Then I realized that I was on a bed that’s going to the emergency room. I
