On May 7th, 1758 Teofila Fortunato reported her husband, Al Fresco Fortunato, as a missing person. The previous day, May 6th, Teofila’s husband attended a carnival around dusk, Al Fresco was reported to be wearing clothes only fit for a festive carnival; a red and gold comical cap and bells, a tight fitting red and gold striped party dress, and pointed crimson slippers.
