The Biblical Flood There are many questions doubting whether the biblical flood actually occurred; however, there have been several scientific studies made. The studies have been proving that it is scientifically reasonable for the flood to have happened. Some specific questions are; whether the Ark was large enough to fit all the species God had ordered to be placed inside. Also it is questioned where exactly all of the water came from and if it was a sufficient amount to have flooded the entire earth. Scientists as well as common people doubt the Bible when it comes to Noah’s Ark. They do not believe it to be possible for the Ark to have fit two of every kind as God had asked. If all of the species we have found and those that are extinct are doubled the total number would come out to be 72,000. The Ark was estimated to fit about 125,000 sheep. That is more than enough space to fit every species; However, God only required for two of each kind rather than each species. In Genesis 6:20 it says, “Of fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind, of every creeping thing of the earth after his kind, two of every sort shall come unto thee, to keep them alive.” With this, there was plenty of space left to store food and supplies needed for the animals. The Ark was immense in order to be able to fit the animals and to withstand the large amounts of waters delivered through the flood. There is disbelief between many about whether rain was enough to flood the earth. What people do not know is that the Bible states that not only rain was where the water came from. The Bible states in Psalms 24:1-2, “The earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.” It clearly says that the earth was placed upon waters. That proves that water could have
