Finally! A president who believes starting quality education at a young age is a priority! Education is always at the forefront of any Presidential election, however it is often forgotten about once the votes are tallied. Mr. and Mrs. Obama have made it their business to improve education and close the enormous gap between students who do well with those who don’t. For the first time teachers are going to be getting paid more, they will finally get a salary in which their line of work calls for.
Our country prides itself on encouraging its citizens to better themselves through education. (P) While its priority has been high school graduation, many jobs now require college degrees, making higher education more important than ever. While I understand that every American should be expected to sacrifice during this hard time, just as we were in World War II, I feel that this particular sacrifice would put our country in an even worse state. (S) Our work force will not be prepared to handle nor understand the advancements that we have strived so hard to achieve. College is made to prepare students with the newest information possible, so that we can constantly be improving ourselves and be able continue to compete with the world’s leading nations.
All of these major people involved with helping a campus succeed would be out of a job and like everyone else be in a need of help. College being free would mean higher taxes for Americans, but in the end, it will benefit the future by having intelligent citizens, brighter society, and a smart nation. In conclusion, college tuition being free allows everyone to receive a higher education and become an intelligent citizen instead of a gullible citizen. It gives people a chance to get a job, earn money and be able to have an amazing future. College is a place where you gain independence and learn something new every day.

To be inducted into the National Honors Society, to me, would be my greatest accomplishment in Lenape High School. To know that my intense hard work paid off in the end would institute the self-confidence in myself in which I know that I can take the world by storm. Growing up in the shadows of two brilliant older siblings, shining both in academics as well as athleticism I’ve always had to fight to make my name prominent in my family. College right after highs school is not for everyone. I do believe that all people can benefit from a college degree when the time is right for them.
