After falling in love, the next step is marriage. The purpose of marriage is to denote to others your love and dedication to a special person. The promises to love, honor, and obey, to nurture through sickness and good health, and to remain, as one until death are the traditional wedding vows. Most people exchange these sacred vows and expect to stay with their significant other for the rest of their lives. Although these are the traditional wedding vows, times have changed, the exchanging of these vows are no sacred and do not often last.
The fact that it’s described as portentous is symbolising the importance of what is about to become for the married couple this seems ironic has Daisy and Tom have not valued they’re marriage so far yet it is still a serious relationship that is not easily broken. The wedding march may symbolise the re-birth of Daisy and Tom’s marriage. Fitzgerald could be using this symbolism as a forewarning for the future; to subtly hint to the reader that Daisy and Tom will keep their marriage together. Fitzgerald uses the wedding march to create ironic juxtaposition. The wedding march obviously means that one marriage is beginning and ironically right above the wedding on appears to crumbling.

Neither do I know if he is tall or short or handsome or ugly. I don’t even know his name! I think it is acceptable that I am being forced to marry for the good of my country, but I would at least like to get to know my future husband. Maybe have like a month or two to learn about him. And what if we don’t get along?
All effective communication is important as it helps to pass clear, concise, informative, accurate, factual information in order to decrease the possibility of mistakes and risks and error to the people I am working with. If a Service user told you they had brought a surprise birthday present for their mother and they needed staffs help to buy a card later in day and help with ingredients for a cake. If only half the information was handed over or card wasn’t brought this could affect the relationship between service user and staff. A staff member noticed a faulty chair and fails to report it, or fill out damage report, write it in message book or even verbally tell staff. This later causes a service user or staff member to have an accident.
Almost all people think that getting married the one who he or she loves is natural. But there are some situations when someone cannot get married to him or her because it is socially unacceptable. The definition of marriage for different people means different things. Marriage has some forms, but nowadays the same sex marriage is the most discussed topic. So in this essay I’m going to compare the traditional marriage and the same sex marriage.
If in today’s society people sticked to their word there would be more people that you can rely on, for instance when you get married do you want your husband or wife to really mean “Til death do us part.” or just say it. Yea, things might pop up that would result in not fulfilling your promise you tried to keep like taking your friend to the baseball game but couldn’t because of the rain. That’s why the final code that should be brought back is “Exhibit courage in word and deed”. In society, people have lost the values that were once meaningful to have as a person, but the Chivalry codes today have long been forgotten. That’s why we should bring back five codes; Destroy evil in all of it’s monstrous forms, Protect the weak and defenseless, Do not steal, At all times speak the truth and Exhibit courage in word and deed.

A romantic relationship is not anything to take lightly, but we as a society these days take the word ‘boyfriend’ or girlfriend’ way too seriously. In my personal experience, friendship always comes before relationship, most importantly with your boy or girlfriend. A few couples I know always have to tell their significant other where they will be and what they are doing twenty-four hours a day. Seriously, they are an individual with a life to live of their own, and they choose for you to be a part of it, not be the whole thing. Marriage is another part that should not be jumped into too hastily, and should be taken as a serious commitment.
This means being able to move to different states and still being considered as a married couple. This also includes joint ownership of property, insurance benefits, and medical decisions. If I was in a position where I could make policies or bills, I would defiantly get on the topic of legalizing gay marriage. I would first purpose a bill that would outline how and why gay marriage is supposed to be legalized. The bill would help allow gays to get married where ever they wanted to.
