Telecommunication is transmission of information over significant distances to communicate. In earlier times telecommunications involved the use of visual signals, such as smoke signals, signal flags and loud whistles. Nowadays, telecommunications involves the use of electrical devices such as the telephone and telegraphs. A revolution in wireless telecommunications began in the 1900s. Telegraphs were invented by “Charles Wheatstone” and “Samuel Morse”. Telephones which was a very useful invention before cell phones was invented by “Graham Bell”. WRC (Wireless Radio Communications) was invented by “Guglielmo Marconi” and “Nikola Tesla”. Whereas, Lee de Forest and Edwin Armstrong invented Radio. Marconi was also rewarded with a Noble Prize in Physics in 1909 for his efforts. Telecommunications is the most valuable thing nowadays, everyone is using this technology with no fear, but everything in this world has come with advantages but they also carry some disadvantages like every disease has come with a cure, but people are ignoring those them in this era. The service revenue of the global telecommunications industry was estimated to be $1.7 trillion in 2008, and is expected to touch $2.7 trillion by 2013. Here are some advantages of Telecommunications are that they can be used in any part of the world without any difficulty. People have also seen that time when they couldn’t even think that they can be able to use that kind of technology that could be used without wires. Cell phones are one example of wireless technology. A person can use it wherever he goes and whenever he wants to use it. Cell phones are so common nowadays that it can be found in every single person’s pocket whether he’s a teenager or an old person. Cell phones can also be used for the social networking.
