Bailey Hoffman Mr.Miller Written Rhetoric Teen Mom; Reality or Fantasy There are so many reality TV. shows out there, that really show how messed up our society actually is. MTV has already put out four seasons of a reality show called, Teen Mom. This show has caused controversy all around the country in many different ways. There are definitely negatives and positives to watching this show. This is a really important issue that our society needs to realize is huge problem among teens in this age. It is an issue that needs to be talked about, and that is partially why I think MTV made this show in the first place; to get the message out there about teen pregnancy. It also shows teens something that they shouldn't be doing at their age. But, then there are some girls out there that think this lifestyle is what they want. Because, MTV glamorizes teen pregnancy in a way on the show. I did some research, and found that the girls on Teen Mom, are getting paid 60,000 a season to get their lives taped and put out there; according to examiner.com. This is extremely wrong to me, no one should be getting paid because they got pregnant at a young age. It is just showing other teen girls that if those girls on the show are getting paid then they can too. It shouldn't have to be this way, no one should get rewarded for having a baby so young. I have a friend who recently found out that she was adopted because her birth mom was too young to take care of her when she was born. This is something that has affected her for her whole life now, and will stick with her forever. She will never know her real mother because of the poor choices her mom made when she was younger. I feel so bad for her, and I would never want someone else to go through the pain that she has had to deal with. I want people to realize that getting pregnant at 16 isn't right, it will
