It is also knowledge of using tools and machines to do tasks efficiently (Jean). People use technology to control the world by using knowledge, tools, and systems to make their lives easier and better. For example, through technology, people communicate better with videoconferencing equipment, computers, and the Internet. In Modern world, technology has become a necessary staple of everyday life, and many people cannot remember a time when internet, smart phones, and computers were not standard equipment in every households. Some admit that technology permeates every field of human life, and humanity cannot escape the strong affect of technology. Although there is much argument about how the impact of technology is good or bad, it is undeniable that technology has made the world a better place to live and holds great potential for improving the lives of humans. First of all, especially in the field of medicine, new discoveries and technologies have made it possible to heal and prevent many illnesses, and have increased the average life of human being by many years. For example, the discoveries of endoscopic and organ surgery, of antibiotics and vaccines were major steps that have enormously improved the quality of people’s lives. Medicines have increased the life span of a human being, and unfortunately this leads to over-population. Additionally, people who fall into prescription drug abuse. Prescription drug abuse is the Nation’s fastest-growing drug problem. While there has been a marked decrease in the use of some illegal drugs like cocaine, data from the National Survey on Drug Use and Health (NSDUH) show that nearly one-third of people aged 12 and over who used drugs for the first time in 2009 began by using a prescription drug
