Technology Is Mankinds Savior

In the near future, technology will be the savior of mankind in multiple ways that benefit us and society. To start, technology will save us because it helps and aids us within every aspect of our daily lives. Presently, military systems contain electronic sensors to maintain the ideal flight characteristics in advanced aircraft and the capacities of computers today exceed five hundred trillion bits of information per second. These are just some examples of how incredibly advanced our society is becoming in the sense of technology, and it is this very technology that convinces some that in the near future we could create a civilization where people would be able to live longer, healthier, and live more meaningful, productive lives. For example, diseases such as cancer are a growing threat to our civilization. But with the proper knowledge and expertise, today we have a suitable treatment for illnesses such as cancer only because of our growing technological knowledge. And soon, some predict that we will eventually be capable of creating a cure for ailments similar to cancer that may completely eradicate it from society. This will help us lead stronger and more prolific lives with bothers such as these gone. Next, with a wide array of uber-advanced technologies available at our finger tips, there has to be a limit to what luxuries are allowed to certain people and limit what we create, if possible. What this statement means is that there has to be a sort of law on who has access to what, meaning we cannot give someone who knows nothing of science access to a simulator, or a machine that emits a given amount of radiation, or it may have a disastrous outcome for many people. Also, as seen in Ray Bradbury’s The Veldt, we have to put a limit on what is created, and if not, check to make sure that our creations do not malfunction. “The lions on three sides of
