Fahrenheit 451 In the age of digital media, one often hears the term that we are in the age of knowledge. But is that true? If it is, then what kind of knowledge are we accessing? It is plain that we are far more technologically advanced today than we were 50 years ago, and that we are still progressing at a fast pace. Almost everyone in the country, and a huge mass of people around the world, has access to a smartphone, computer, or television; no matter what each person in at least America will have internet access many times throughout the year. Technology use has a certain place and time. It is used to create miraculous things, yet I know from personal experience that it is also used to create useless, or even harmful things. Even so, that does not make technology any less tremendously great. All in all, there are many aspects to all things, and I can see both sides of the story when it comes to the use of modern technology. There are consequences to everything, and this is no different, but there are miraculous benefits as well. I do not think we will end up like the characters in the world of Fahrenheit 451, and I cannot say that the world would be better if we did not have smart phones or computers. We know so much and have come so far, yet I also believe we must keep ourselves controlled. There is nothing inherently good or bad about it, it is all in how we chose to use it, and all I can say is that I
