Smaller incisions, shorter hospital stays and decrease in the cost seems to be the way to go today. These new technology allows a Surgeon to view the surgical site like they never have before, through the virtual world. Imagine major surgery performed through the smallest of incisions. Imagine having the benefits of a definitive treatment but with the potential for significantly less pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery to normal everyday activities as well as the benefits for a better clinical outcome. Surgeons and hospitals are re-writing accepted standards for surgical care. Without a doubt, da Vinci is changing the experience of surgery. Using the assistance of robotics advanced technology is a fairly new procedure that Surgeons are implementing in their everyday surgeries. Surgical robotics are being used in varies surgeries and the type that is used mostly is the da Vinci Surgical System.
