Describe own role and responsibilities and those of others in the team My role of a Teaching Assistant is extremely important in the class room. I am there to support the pupils and the teacher in charge as well as other staff working in the school. A teaching assistant is responsible for preparing the class room ready for the day ahead as well as clearing the classroom after the school day. The Teaching assistant is required to float between pupils helping them to confidently complete their work and tasks set. We are also required to sometimes work with individual groups of pupils on set tasks or individually with pupils who need one to one support.
However for the other students in the class we would be working on their targets during this time. Adapting the maths lesson on the NC to them all individually, we have TAs on a one to one with each child so they get the best help, and while Lillie is being asked by her TA at the time another TA would be working with their student for instance working on the physical skills to knock a green bottle over as they are learning, how to use their arms etc. We use the NC and EYFS, we adapt all to the children we have in our class individually, making sure they are getting the best development skills for them at that time. Task 3 – 3.1 Methods of observations include the following; * Snapshot – Which means; you observe the pupil at a specific time, for example, behaviour during a certain activity. * Structured – this would be observing a pupil during a particular activity set up to gain exact information about the pupils learning.
Childminding is caring and watching children usually from 0-8 years of age. Childminders can be hired on part -time or full-time basics. Childminders are trained, insured and qualified in first aid. E2 Using childminding in a home environment can be more flexible than other forms of childcare which is a benefit for parents who have to work out of school hours and need someone to look after their child after or before school. Also for parents who have young children and cannot yet get them into a school or nursery due to their age, so need someone to care for their child while at work.
TDA 2.13: Provide Displays in Schools 1. Understand the school policy and procedures for displays 2.1 – Within work, we do not have a policy to do with displays. The class teachers are responsible for the displays that they want to go up in and around their classrooms. Putting up a display in the class is good for stimulating the children when it comes work. The displays can either be really informative, to which they will be able to use the information that is provided to include it into their work.

Unit 9- Final Project Over the pass nine weeks I learned so many interesting things. And researched a lot of detailed information required in this class. Back in Unit 1 I learned Role of psychology in our daily lives. In the learning activity I got to explain how understanding and predicting behaviors benefit us in our lives at home, at work and in school? Here is what I say: Understanding and predicting behaviors can benefit us in our lives at home, at work and in school because if you are asked how behavior at home can effect a student in there school work it because a lot of times there not thinking about what there doing and that could mess with there head cause they have other thing on there mind.
h. To create an effective IEP, parents, teachers, other school staff--and often the student--must come together to look closely at the student's unique needs. These individuals pool knowledge, experience and commitment to design an educational program that will help the student be involved in, and progress in, the general curriculum. The IEP guides the delivery of special education supports and services for the student with a disability. Without a doubt, writing--and implementing--an effective IEP requires teamwork. 6.
