Talk about Being Genuine “Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading of a gentle and quit spirit, which is of worth in God’s sight” I Peter 3 (3:4). The life experiences I have endured has humbled me, and humbleness can be a very positive trait to possess. Having the ability to, on occasion, make people around me feel that everyone is equal makes an adequate point about my personality. By making my inner self present to people rather than letting my appearance override I can be more appreciated. Being a humble person can get me through everyday life in many situations and can essentially help me prosper in life, such as, applying it to building friendships and choosing to always respect others. I was always taught to be abundantly accepting and make people feel welcome, so it can help me to accumulate a crowd of friends that I can depend on. Humbleness is something that I have carried from childhood up until now; it has assisted in the understanding of people around me. In elementary where my crowd of friends varied, I did not feel complete hanging with a type of crowd who had narrow views. To get a different outlook and better understanding of life, it always made sense to have an open mind and a form of sensitivity toward others opinions and ways of life to build a true friendship; therefore, I approached people as human beings with general conversation simply by asking for: a name, grade, and age. I can clearly remember meeting my best friend who was my best friend throughout elementary and middle school. It was within the first week of kindergarten, and everyone was still getting used to being students at a new school.
