Companies are always looking for ways to improve and enhance the “shopping experience” of the CBD, by building and adding new and exciting stores. An example of this is the Eastgate development in the centre of Leeds, which has a John Lewis as its flagship store (a store in a prominent location/ a chain’s largest store) of the new development which will attract other big names to the outlet; as if a huge company takes a risk the rest will simply follow. The development, been built by the Hammerson group, also includes a multi-storey car park that holds 800 cars, so the shopping experience is easier to access and you can simply “pop to the shops” and spend money in the CBD, instead of just going on the internet as it is now just as easy. In 2007 CVS pharmacy merged with Caremark Rx which created CVS Caremark. CVS Caremark is currently the number two pharmacy store in the United States with revenues exceeded $100 billion dollars and has over 7,400 hundred stores in 42 states. The corporation has been successful for over 40 years in the United States. CVS Caremark is designing a global expansion strategy to target areas that are profitable and promising demographically.

With the general trends showing consumers are tightening their wallets and working to keep their earnings within the household, discount retailers are seeing stable to significant growth in sales. Target remains a high performer, with a market capitalization of 40.5 billion dollars, second only to Wal-mart. Parents and Early Life Support Officers engage in a mutual exploration of goals and outcomes with a solution focussed approach. The Supporting Families Team with an emphasis on delivering intervention services work with families where additional support has been identified as being beneficial to those families. Services tend to be bespoke, meeting the individual family need.
