Cathy Promo is a director of marketing for a local utility and her skills can be used to target potential consumers for the new service line through extensive advertising and marketing of the newly remodeled facility, equipment, and better developed and organized
Eye surgeries, colonoscopies, and other less invasive surgeries can be done in a hour or two and the patient can go home after recovery instead of staying in the hospital. This frees up hospital beds for the more critical patients. Quality health care also means quality staff; from the clerk who admitts you for your hospital stay or doctor’s appointments to janitor that cleans your room. Each individual is important to the treatment of a patient. A patient coming into a clinic to see the doctor for the first time expects the person at the desk to understand that they are there for a reason, their needs are addresssed in a professional manner.
Since they are in a hospital bed, dressed in a hospital gown, I cannot judge or formulate an opinion of people’s background i.e. what kind of money they have (or don’t have), social status they maintain, and who they are related to. All patients are equal and deserve the same kind of dignity and respect as the next patient. All patients take their illness/hospitalizations seriously. I cannot make light of their disease but do my best to provide clear communication and education of what brought them into the

Patients were not given the option to get dressed, and that they were left in nightwear all day. Call bells were also left out of patients reach. Another area of concern was “meeting nutritional needs”. It was noted that minimal hand washing practices were carried out by staff, and that patients hands were not washed before eating meals. There was no on-going monitoring of nutritional needs, and no clear care planning towards this either.

This department is also a leader role to look up to therefore it all works in a system so the chances of errors are very limited. This helps doctors and nurses make sure the patients are well satisfied with the care they received and nothing worse can happen and they get treated with the best products. Therefore, once medically cleared, we have to rely on inpatient psychiatric facilities or group homes like the one Dr. Primrose runs to ensure that these patients remain safe while, in this case, initiating prescriptions to manage medical and psychiatric issues and gathering resources that will be necessary for this patient to regain her independence. This teleconference was efficient and cost effective for the following reasons; an unnecessary one hour trip was avoided to the facility where no beds were available. This patient was able to receive appropriate, necessary medical treatment while psychiatry was reviewing the patient’s chart and then, in this case, finding appropriate placement. The two Psychiatrists involved were able to teleconference with the patient and gather necessary information and details of the patient’s present state of mind and ability to act with sound judgment. The patient’s accessible EMR avoided time spent faxing and/or having to orally present patient’s case several times over.
During which I observed an Occupational Therapist that came regularly to see the residents at the care home. The therapist worked closely with the residents to enable them to lead full & satisfying lives as independent as possibly. I was impressed by the incredible amount of knowledge and skills that were required for occupational therapy. This gave me a great insight into the caring profession and has increased my motivation to work within it. In this experience, it enabled me to observe different health practitioners that were involved with the resident’s care.

Since the building was established almost a century ago and the school had limited funding, the small, private school had never been renovated. There were no elevators. The flooring of the staircases were made of wood and hand railings were black painted metal that were cold to the touch.
