The company was founded in 1997 and it principally operates through its subsidiaries and affiliates. The company is forayed into international market through Emaar International to strengthen its real estate developments in Dubai and to strengthen its global recognition. The company classifies its operations into two reportable business segments, namely real estate and other business. The real estate business segment comprises activities related to property management, education, healthcare, hospitality, hotels & resorts, mall, further, the company invests in financial services providers. The company generated 39.24% of its total revenue from sale of condominiums followed by 26.57% from sale of villas, 12.47% from sale of land plots, 15% from commercial units and others. Further, the company’s leased properties and related activities contributed 3.12% and hospitality business contributed 3.6% to the total revenue.
