They have wines, meats and seafood, produce, cheese and dairy. Kudler is for people who are better off. Making at least six figures, people can go to Kudler and buy very expensive food that you can use for a party or everyday living. Now Kudler Fine Foods wants to develop program that tracks customer purchases. This program is called The Frequent Shopper Program. Kudler would need to advise their customers of this. They plan on making fliers and mailing them to their current customers and of those who want to participate, Kudler will track their purchasing behavior. Based on the purchasing behavior of the customers, Kudler will provide their customers will points which can be redeemed for high-end gifts, first class airline tickets, upgrades, or other specialty foods. Now the training begins. Direct mail literature will be sent to high-end zip codes to make customers aware of what Kudler is doing and to attempt to sell them on the program without talking to them. This literature will contain information about the program and all the different products Kudler has. The Frequent Shopper Program will involve lots of training because Kudler needs a highly trained staff to make this program a success. Each associate must be trained on how this program works. The manager of Kudler’s staff will need to be a person who already been with a company who has done this before. This person must already know the ins and outs of this program. In order for Kudler’s staff to be proficient in product knowledge, data analysis, and basic customer service, there manager must already be proficient. This staff must be ready to problem solve and sale the program to long time customers and new customers. Problems will arise and Kudler’s staff must be ready to handle them. Some food may be frozen or needing a special room to store the food. Some food may to be shipped to Kudler in Ice and kept in ice until the food is bought. This costs money to do. But Kudler has to have a zero stock out policy to ensure the customer needs are met. You do not want to run out of stock but you do not want to be over stocked. The sales team has one important role: They must support cost cutting efforts has needed. Kudler Fine Foods makes millions of dollars soliciting to high-end customers around the country. This program will make the company richer. But how will they pay for it all without losing money? The Frequent Shopper Program will need to have its own department. This means they would need IT people, accounting, HR, payroll, and janitors. How much would they all get paid? I do not think they would make payroll when this program rolls out. 25% revenue increase after the first quarter they would lose money.
