My Stupid Suicide Plan Introduction “Sometimes even to live is an act of courage.” People say that life is so beautiful , a gift from god and so we should not do anything stupid as suicide.Even most famous people in the world have tried or have at least thought of doing so. Every parent wants their child to be a topper in their class and expecting further, their child should get admission in IIT. When one enters the IIT, there is not only expectation from the parents that the student need to perform better but the student himself who has a higher self expectation being a part of the IIT.However, to study at IIT is not everyone’s cup of tea. Human nature is such that high self expectation creates within us an egocentric attitude, which in a state of depression fills our mind with negative thoughts and provokes for such a cowardly act of committing suicide. This article revolves around an IITian who committed suicide.Chetan Bhagat emphasizes that challenges, upsets, reversals, defeats are essential part of life and a necessary spice. One must learn from one's defeats and not be an escapist. Because life is worth living and you have no right to end your life which you got for no contribution of yours. Reason behind the suicidal plan Chetan Bhagat recalls his own childhood memory at the verge of hearing the news about an IITian committing suicide due to academic pressure. When Chetan Bhagat was 14 years old it was the first time he seriously contemplated suicide.He had done badly in chemistry X standard half yearly exam scoring 68% which is not an ideal score for an IIT aspirant. As he was deeply thwarted because of screwing up the exam he decided to kill himself because suicide was the best temporary solution to solve a permanent problem.
