Truancy, defined as unexcused absence from school, has been linked to serious delinquent activity in youth and to significant negative behavior and characteristics in adults. As a risk factor for delinquent behavior in youth, truancy has been found to be related to substance abuse, gang activity, and involvement in criminal activities such as burglary, auto theft, and vandalism. (Bell, Rosen, and Dynlacht, 1994; Dryfoos, 1990; Garry, 1996; Huizinga, Loeber, and Thornberry, 1995; Rohrman, 1993. Baker at al). However, the Ministry of Education plays an important role in intervening the problem of truancy. If left unchecked, truancy can lead to juvenile delinquency and numerous other negative outcomes between Malaysian school students. As proposition, some essential steps should be taken such as closely monitoring the attendance of students, providing a orderly and safety environment in school, and providing academic support.
Students are more likely to skip from school not only when they having a low-grade results, but also when they noticed or became aware of a sharp decline in their academic performance relative to grades previously attained. Adequately, the idea of providing academic support is essential to help those students who felt themselves being derivative from the learning(Getzlaf, Sedlacek, Kearney, & Blackwell, 1984). In 1997, Riddile - principal of Fairfax County’s J. E. B. Stuart High School made autodial wake-up calls to youngsters with the worst attendance records. As a result, the average daily attendance was up 86 to 96 percent. One youngster thanked him, he said: "No one had ever cared whether he came to school".The Ministry of Education can provides training to the school teachers for supporting students to achieve the learning outcomes of the programme. On this occasion, school teachers are proposed to provide interesting classes supported by
