Over the years, a college education has become a necessity for obtaining a good, steady, well-paying job. Making a bachelor’s degree a requirement for jobs is important because it requires students to challenge their intellectual ability, allows them to obtain a well-paying job and becomes very beneficial for their future. These athletes are students who are being allowed an education through their participation in sports and they should feel privileged to do so. The experience of playing on a college team itself is much like an unpaid internship for other students. For non-athlete students, however, the experiences of unpaid internships do not come along with a full-ride scholarship. College sports should not be centered around money. If it was it would make the gap between big and small schools even greater because the larger schools will be able to pay the athletes more money and in the end they will essentially be able to buy out the best athletes.
Hard work, determination, and the will to accomplish, these are the building blocks to the true American Dream. If someone is determined to work hard and have the will power to succeed, then money won’t matter, they will have achieved their dream. Society believes the American Dream is all about making money, when the real dream is working as hard as someone possibly can to make the best life for them and their families. Most people view the dream as earning a substantial amount of money and purchasing a house and starting a family. “For an overwhelming majority of Americans, home ownership remains a highly desirable goal”.
I think it would be really neat to be able to sell homes to the rich and famous. For me to achieve this goal I must first achieve my educational goal and graduate from college. These are just some of my goals. I plan to achieve these goals and others while being very successful. For me to achieve all of my goals I have to start working now.
I have located some very good scholarships though small they can help in eradicating the total cost for college. I do also have to think about once I get into Graduate school once attaining my undergraduate degree. I also have to think about maintaining a respectable and very good GPA. If I should do all of this successfully then I can start to look into when I graduate how I can get some pre-graduation experience I can do this by going to internships and doing charitable work or even get a part-time work. The good part about doing all the hard work in both Undergrad and Grad studies is the payoff.
