There are several solutions that you can do to avoid all-nighters. Pay attention in class can make a big difference in knowing what to study for. If you listen and pay attention in class, you can hear the information. Hearing it can help you remember some information, not all of it. If you know something that you learned while listening in class that gives you one less thing to study for.
It may be convenient to the teachers too, they will have more rest after all the work during the day, and teachers happy and in a better mood will leave you less homework and the teaching techniques could involve more learning, more projects because you have energy. But the don’ts are that the will need to study harder because the time of each class will not be enough to concentrate in class, and may need to get some homework at home. And the student will be more lazy because of that privilege. The necessity to go bed early, it will not be funny for the people like me, who likes to watch scary movies at
It is said that if you are aware of how your brain is able to learn better, you have a better chance of studying in a way that will pay off when it’s time to take exams. I took the Learning Styles Survey and it resulted in a “Tactile/Kinesthetic” learning style. According to the researches, my learners traits are that I remember things that I do very well, I remember best through getting involved in whatever is being learned. I enjoy making and creating things that will help me remember. My learning strategies for the Tactile/Kinesthetic leaners includes studying with music in the background, using flashcards or notes while pacing or walking, taking frequent breaks while studying, sitting near the front row of the class and taking notes.
It is important to wisely manage the real time for study. They have to focus on the study related tasks in this time as for example they can divide this time, and perform critical thinking, writing or focused reading. Utilization of small chunks of time for completion of minor study tasks is more helpful than giving a large time to a single task. Similarly, breaking of large study tasks into smaller pieces and working on those tasks within time can be of much help. Sometimes, learner’s real time does not match with the time during which he or she is more efficient as for example, many students find early morning as the most
To make your AP grade better put in more effort simple. I know this may sound cliché but its true spending more time probably studying or maybe actually doing your homework is a start. I know I’m not perfect, I sure don’t always do my homework, sometimes I even make it seem like I do it but I know I didn’t. But all those have one thing in common; they are all actions that are results of lack of effort. A lack of effort is the universal first sign of laziness.
They also can provide feedback for students on their strengths, allowing them to see for themselves where they need to make improvements. Teachers use rubrics to assess students, they make it much easier, more consistent, and objective. They also help teachers focus better on key concepts. By making a work model (rubric) for students to use students will be able to improve and increase knowledge students will acquire. Teacher can better justify student grades by using a rubric that clearly shows where the student rates according to the rubric.
As for visual I am going to keep taking notes even if it seems to be something simple. For kinesthetic, whenever I am studying something that I can experience in real life I will get an up close personal view to better understand. I do not see either of these styles affecting my study habits except maybe causing me to study longer bc it can be somewhat tedious noting so much. 5. On the other hand, sometimes I would rather learning on my own. A good and experienced teacher can help me learn faster and easier. Sometimes when learning a course by myself which is hard and confusing to understand and has few sources available, I get discouraged after spending a lot of time. In this situation, I’ll look for a teacher and request for help from him or her. And then he or she will teach me the course efficiently in a short time and therefore I will learn faster and better and won’t get discouraged and confused.
• Use free time wisely Think of times when i can study "bits" as when walking, riding the bus. Take shorter lunch breaks so there is ample time for me to concentrate, to read or review a chapter. • Review notes and readings just before class This may prompt a question or two about something you don't quite understand, to ask about in class, or after. • Review lecture notes just after class Review lecture material immediately after class. The first 24 hours are critical.
