Using a daily planner and prioritizing my responsibilities has helped me have the time to transition back to a student. Although every task is written, not all need to be done in the same day. Day to day activities can be very distracting but my schedule keeps me focused. Returning back to school and into the student role requires me to be successful in working in teams. Communicating with my peers helps me trusting in my team mates to be active in the learning experience.
It would not be able to cut back his hours and taking a class that is not required would take a lot of his time. The Study Skills class requires note taking in his current classes. This would allow him to put more attention on the note taking and possible less understanding of the material for the specific class. Which could possibly distract him and lose his focus. However, Study Skills comes with many important reasons to keep the class.

A personal work plan helps us to stay organized, meet deadlines and complete all the tasks involved in our job. If there is not any personal work plan, it could lead to a build up of stress. The best way how to create the personal work plan is to make a daily list of tasks that need to be done, update the plan daily, crossing off completed tasks and adding new tasks that need to be done. Urgent tasks can be highlighted. Participating in a distance learning program has many advantages, but some disadvantages as well. The first main advantage is the convenience of studying and completing homework at a comfortable pace, during any time of the day. The second advantage is, avoiding the commute to a traditional school saves on gasoline and time. The disadvantages of participating in a distance learning environment are; no direct contact with instructors, delayed feedback, and the tuition is costly. Utilizing a precise guideline will give direction throughout the program.
I need to set goals in each one of my classes and stay focused and put my school work first. The accomplishments I have made in the past relate to the information I have learned about myself in the self-assessments. In the past when it came to school work I had a tendency to become unorganized. However I learned to organize my work and learn strategies to study and eventually I found a way that seemed to fit me the most. When it come to my personality, in the past I always have put others before myself.
Identifying non attendance could indicate a problem external to the teaching setting which may benefit from referral to other professionals or could point to students’ dissatisfaction with the teaching style which could be addressed by reassessing the teaching methods used in order to promote more inclusive practice. Assessment on the course forms an ongoing weekly record of how students are grasping lesson plan objectives and provides valuable feedback for both students and myself as their trainer. Monitoring student achievements, skills, abilities and progress through ongoing assessment, tracks their progress with feedback given to confirm that learning objectives have been met. Assessment also enables identification of any special needs that require more attention through setting targets for improvement in order to progress more effectively with the course. Recording special needs allows for assessment of the effectiveness of interventions implemented and gives students a measure of appropriate progress towards
Students will be less focused in school, and less likely to continue their educations, if they dread going to school each day. Including art and music in he curriculum will motivate students, and will inspire them to enjoy school. It will also give them a creative outlet. Many young people have trouble expressing their emotions in words, but find that the can communicate their ideas through music and art. Giving students an opportunity to create every day will keep them engaged in learning, keep frustration at bay, and lead to happier, more fulfilled children.
CWPA, NCTE, and NWP claim in “Framework for Success in Postsecondary Writing,” that “Habits of mind refers to ways of approaching learning that are both intellectual and practical and that will support students’ success in a variety of fields and disciplines” (122). At the Recreation Center, responsibility and persistence are habits of the mind that most students apply. Persistence, which the authors describes, is the “ability to sustain interest in and attention to short and long-term projects,” that pushes these students to come back throughout their education, regardless of how high their workload has piled up (122). When approaching college, students find it much more difficult to schedule exercising while balancing out their college life. There are exams to study for, deadlines to meet, and expectations to live up to.
Students taking online classes are free to express their opinion on message thread which allows other students to comment also and keep conversation going. Through distance learning students who are shy and not open to conversation can easily express and help them become more comfortable. “Generally speaking face to face communication with an instructor is minimized or eliminated altogether” (Barszcz 151). Distance learning can go both ways, if a student prefers to attend campus and have face to face contact it’s totally up to them, but for those students who are independent and are working full-time distance learning is the only option for them to advance in their career. For students who are living on their own with expense such as rent and bills, distance learning make their lives easy and can be managed with full-time job.
