The Analysis of the studies will include introduction, methods, results, and discussion. In all of the studies the topic being investigated is Major Depressive Disorder. The studies will show various methods in which assist in combating Major Depressive Disorder. Each of the studies will have used different methods, but they will all achieve a goal in which the patient has a marked improvement in their disorder. In Depression; Research in the Area of Depression researchers studied the effect of neurological stimulation on depression. The stimulated the cerebral cortex while the subjects preformed cognitive tasks. In addition, they compared the effects of anti-depressants versus stimulation of the cerebral cortex. The researchers aimed to elucidate the clinical efficacy of rTMS comparing two groups of depressed patients stimulated over DLPFC, one over the left (at 5 Hz) and other over the right (at 1 Hz). They also wanted to know if there were clinical and electroencephalographic differential long-term after-effects between those groups of treatment. The study included twenty right-handed patients with a DSM-IVR diagnosis of MDD. They were assigned into two groups of treatment. Group 1 received 5Hz rTMS over the left DLPFC. Group 2 received 1Hz rTMS over the right DLPFC. The study participants were assigned into two groups of treatment. Group 1 received 5Hz rTMS over the left DLPFC. Group 2 received 1Hz rTMS over the right DLPFC. The researchers obtained two EEG measurements in order to analyze Z score of
