There is no right or wrong answer. 1. I want to do better than other students in my class. TRUE 2. An important reason why I do my class work is because I like to learn new things.
Participation in the Seminar is a very important part of this course. It is the one chance that you have each week to interact with your classmates and your instructor real-time. Seminar is a great opportunity to cover course material in a fun and dynamic forum where you can discuss what you’ve learned in each unit and ask questions about topics that you don’t yet understand. Students should actively participate in each seminar. During each seminar, the instructor will be asking students lots of questions from the reading assignments, so there will be many opportunities to answer and to make additional comments or ask questions of your own.
4.4 Explain the changes required to improve the quality of an individual’s participation to promote independence, informed choice and a valued life; I always encourage the individual to do things for themselves instead of me doing it for them I find out the individuals likes and dislikes so I can encourage them to participate in activities that they enjoy. Learning Team Reflection Regenal B. Smith, La Quandria Murray, Candice Lilly, Brittnay Roche' QBR/501 July 26, 2012 Dr. Susan Layton Learning Team Reflection La Quandria believed she did a good job on this week learning. It was much easier to understand than the previous weeks. La Quandria would like to review Week three assignments, she feels a little better about graphing. One thing she learned in the last class period was she may not have had such a difficult time if she had graphing paper. She plans to purchase some this weekend to assist her with more accurate graphs.
I highlighted any information I felt was important and that I thought I might include in the essay when I come to write it. I listened to the case study of Ann and her family a couple of times, writing down feelings and emotions I thought the family had so that I could refer back to if needed. I listened to it more than once in case I had missed anything the first time, and to see if what I felt first time around still applied the second time. I sat down a couple of days later to write the essay and I felt that all the reading and highlighting I had done previously had really helped and I managed to write it without having to look through everything again. I think I would do the planning in the same way next time, the way I did it helped me to save time when it came to writing the essay as I had planned everything a couple of days before.
The LP is task oriented, logical and very much process oriented. The LP prefers learning experiences that are straightforward and detailed and learns well by the task rather than being told. LP’s will typically need a good deal of justification if the training requires much in the way of change. The LP may resist training if it requires them to expand their boundaries into uncomfortable areas without specific training and processes being put into place to assimilate it. The learning key for the LP is to give specific, clear instructions, clear expectations and support.
Therefore, during middle school and High school I was able to use what I learned in my previous years to write paragraphs, essays and research papers. As an administrative assistant it is important that I know and use every writing strategy that there is. Every week my company holds an executive meeting and it is my duty to take meeting minutes. Writing meeting minutes is a headache but is an essential duty and it is essential that the minutes are written effectively. I’ve had an experience in which the minutes I took weren’t written effectively, therefore everyone ended up going in different directions & then had to meet again for the same original purpose.
It was almost scientific. I remember as if it were yesterday, I had written an essay on “The day I rescued someone” Could you imagine my utter delight when on the examination day one of the topics was “The day someone rescued me”. I switched my essay that I had memorized and did not look up until I had put my final full stop. My labor was not in vain I passed the National examination for my first choice school. On moving from Primary school to Secondary I thought that I had conquered the art of writing.
* It just makes sense to me. * The facts speak for themselves. * I am going to check that off my list. Implications for learning What does being a "logical" person like this mean to you as you attempt to learn new things? As a logical learner you are naturally inclined to want to understand something rather than just memorizing facts.
Sometimes I try to switch it up to reading and watching, but I always seem to fail at that. So now I go hands on as often as possible and work with physical objects or any activity. A good example of learning through this style is in order for me to learn a new a new item or any new equipment that I have to learn, I pretty much play around with the item until I know that I am ok with it or I have full knowledge of how it works or how to work it. I might apply my own learning style to study through this course and the program. I think it will be better for me so that I won’t get confused by switching to a different learning style.
