7.04 Weight: Keeping It Under Control Chart Directions There are many ways to lose weight. Some diet plans are healthy but some aren’t. They’re books, articles and websites teaching you or giving you advice on how to start or things you should do doing your exercise plan and diet plan as well. The real question is, out of all these resources which one really does work best with keeping you in shape and healthy? The person I chose to interview was on the “Weight Watchers Diet” He liked weight watchers because your lifestyle of living changes into a healthy one and you lose the weight.
Exercise and Nutrition Regimen: No I do not have an exercise or nutrition regimen. There are times I tell myself that I am going to start eating healthy and doing exercises regularly. I would do it for a couple of weeks than just get too lazy to follow through. I guess I will have to make a plan and add it in to my schedule by doing time management. How to be healthier in terms of Exercise and Nutrition: I am a smoker, I always have a sweet tooth, and I am not consistent with eating healthy food and exercise.
I have a big issue with stress when I am around a lot of people in public, and realizing there is a lot to be done with school. Therefore, a way I stay stress-free is to watch the television show “The Bill Cosby Show”. Being stress-free is important with my private self because it helps me health wise. I'm focused on being healthy more than anything when I'm in my private life. I have epilepsy so I'm very careful at what types of food I'm eating and what I buy and bring into the house.
Although, I have been eating healthier, they are still far from perfect. The other difference is that I do exercise daily. I do try to eat healthy everyday, and let me tell you it’s very easy to go the McDonalds route. I tried to starve myself for long periods without any food consumption. That was not a good thing to do because it affected my metabolism and energy.
Although many people may not like natural food because it do not have not flavor, natural food does provide enough nutrients, so people can have more energy in their daily life performance. For instance, when I eat homemade food, I have sufficient energy to be able to study, play soccer, and go to work. Therefore, I enjoy more to eat homemade food than eating processing food. Pollen believes Cooking is one of the most important health consequences of buying food from local farmers” (Pollen539) I agree, because I feel so different when I do not eat homemade food. As a result, eating homemade food with natural ingredients, it would help me out to do better of my daily activities.
Its suggested that older adults should not eat alone because eating with others increases the chances of eating healthier since one is more likely to have an enjoyable meal in a social atmosphere. However, the elderly can sometimes find it hard to do this expecially if they live alone. For those that live alone some tips would include setting up times to eat with family members, friends, or neighbors. I know it is not an easy thing to do but you can benefit from this which is living a longer life to being stronger. Your diet should be containing more of these items whole grains, olive oil, vegetables, fish, and fruits. So incorporate these items in your diet for a healthy heart and better functioning body. If you don’t care about yourself no one else will so take pride in yourself so you can live. They state that if people eat more, they just need to work out more to burn their extra calories. They seem to focus on self-control to keep their life healthy. In her article, “eat more, weight less”, Sarah represents her way to loss pounds by eating more than usual. Her nutritionist suggests her to eat more but she has many small meals through a day. She also has a strict plan for yoga, workout and weight training.

Social learning theory According to this theory, we need to have a good role model in our life, so that we can learn good behaviours from them. For people who want to eat healthy and be healthy, celebrity such as, Jamie Oliver would be a very good role model, because he teach people to eat healthy to have a healthy life. He also brought lots of publicity to the healthy eating campaign. If someone eats junk food all the time and that person’s mother or friend told him/her to eat healthy, it’s less likely that he/she will listen to them, but if he/she admires Jamie Oliver and he suggests to eat healthy, then there is more possibility for that person to follow what he says.
