Therefore, its impact on communities is significant and these companies comprising the fast food industry should demonstrate Corporate Responsibility, Governance, Citizenship and Sustainability. The concept behind these ethical practices is the welfare of society; if a company helps society through their business as a main goal, then they will reap success. When looking at the life on City Road (‘The Street’, 2009) and observing what happens throughout the course of a day, it is clear that the road is used by a variety of people for many different reasons. City Road has local shops up and down both sides, covering a large range of ethnic cultures. There are food shops, clothe shops, tailoring shops, a sport centre, which on the weekend turns into a market and local newsagents. Recently on City Road, a Tesco convenience store has been opened which to some has proven to be very popular and convenient but for others, it has made life quite difficult. Broomfield Road is a busy road made up of shops, take-aways and a few restaurants similar to that of City Road. Broomfield Road, the main street, reflects diversity in the same way that City Road does with its shops like Xtreme Africa and Sari World ('Making social lives on City Road', 2009, scenes 2 & 6). Simon Bromley said (Learning companion 1, PG 25)” That while City Road is unique,
