How to tackle the addiction, prevent it and allow people to recover is an ongoing problem. We must look at it symbolically and take responsibility of our social networks and media influence. By breaking it down to the subgroups of a drug culture, changing the unnecessary glamorization by film and music industry. Educational opportunities for lower socioeconomic groups may decrease the need for a dependency on drug dealing. The answers are not easy, the task seems unobtainable, but without an attempt “The Unnecessary Epidemic” continues at a great cost to human beings and our existence.
With America violent history, was display with America’s violence with foreign countries such as Iraq and Kuwait (Moore). Then within America the fear that people have is due to the violence that is regularly shown in their everyday lives. Other aspects that crimes develop are because of poverty and unemployment. This has made living in times much harder for American because of the failing economy. Growing up in rough times means rough times in some schools.
Nobody wants to hear that their city is full of poverty, mishaps, illiteracy and, No hope. Especially the citizens of Detroit I believe my city takes things the hardest, but can still accept the fact that this is a crisis. The parents of Detroit pride, integrity, and humility is attacked the most because of how much the financial situation along effects their children. Now the education crisis in Detroit Public Schools has ruined us for an unimaginable long time. Just as the authors makes clear in his article.
Some crime are committed that society want to see the juvenile be locked up and the key to be thrown away. This mentality makes rehabilitation programs hard to be supported and punishment seem almost manditory. The fact is that juveniles need the second chance because an adult life is much longer than an adolesent life and adolesents make mistakes out of emotion not logic. When a juvenile commits a crime and experiences no remorse there are big issues that juvenile is dealing with hat a juvenile should not have to deal with at that age. Once an adult the justice system should hold the offender responsible for his or her actions and punishment should be
Foster Children and the Struggles Faced Within LIFE IN FOSTER CARE 10/16/2012 When the economy is low, the foster care system sees a rise in abandoned, neglected, and abused children adding more than the normal amount of cases. “In 2011 there were 401,100 children in foster care” (Child Trends, 2012). These children depend upon the people that work within the system to help and provide them with guidance and security. Foster children usually receive their basic needs while in the system, but older children tend to experience more difficulties than younger children do in foster care. He or she is likely to end up in trouble with the law than their peers without the proper support (Cowan, 2004, p. 1008).
An increased level of concern about public safety and crime rates may be brought about by increased incidences of shoplifting in particular areas. Lastly and most influential to our social framework is the strain and added family problems that result from the shoplifting arrest of a child, as well as the loss of youthful innocence and damage to their future. (Youth Service Council Of Orange, 2004) So why do so many juveniles shoplift? The easy answer is simply so that they can get something for nothing. However the real cause of shoplifting goes beyond this.
JeBari Lewis May 30, 2015 The children featured in Waiting for Superman are the epitome of the issues that plague their communities negatively affecting their education. Personal issues and a flawed education system go hand in hand. Personal issues that each of the featured children faced was crippling poverty. Their situation was made more dire by the fact they were surrounded by uneducated people who had often resulted to crime as a means to elevate their position in life or drugs to escape the reality of their position in life. Their impoverished communities resulted in less taxpayer dollars to fund the school which in educating the students would be able to provide the children with a chance at succeeding and eventually funneling
The younger generation People in Fort William are always saying 'Och the younger generation are chaos creating hooligans that cause distress and trouble in the community. These people that are supposedly involved in crime are somewhat of a bad stereotype for young people. Such problems are caused by many factors but the most concerning to me is that young people have very few things to do. All because the government spends very little on facilities. There is also too much bad press on young people as a result.
One possible explanation for the causation between poverty and negative social behaviours is that many impoverished families are single parent households with less parental supervision (Moore, 2009 p.4). Another explanation is that many impoverish families live in low-income neighbourhoods and children don’t get to experience the social norms that many people take for granted. For example, “homicide rates are highest in areas of extreme poverty, and children exposed to such violence are at greater risk of psychosocial difficulties, such as internalizing behaviours and acting out behaviours” (Moore, 2009,
There are many reasons: some are forced to leave the country due to the horrendous terrorism, they live in lack of job opportunities, and the others for fearing that the guerrilla terrorism recruits their teenage children. After 40 years of armed conflict, drug trafficking is getting stronger and stronger due to the subsidy that they give to terrorism and the vested interest politicians who govern the country. As a consequence, Colombia is a very unsafe country to live in. This is the most important reason why many Colombian citizens leave their country seeking protection for their families and the opportunity to give them a better future for their children. There are various negative effects that implicate problems to people and the way they go about their lives.
