Pay Attention, I’m A Stop Sign! For the most part, I like being a stop sign. There are good days and bad days. This is my job, yes, but it is also my life. I was born to stop and protect. Being a stop sign, there is great reward in helping out the country, the law, and the human drivers that need protected. I was made in a government operated factory. After I was manufactured, they shipped me out to the little dinky town of Sharpsville to be placed in my new home. I was told my mission is to stand tall so people can see me and know I mean business! I am located very close to the Tri Central High School. Each morning I get to greet the staff and students on their way to start their school day. You can always tell the new beginner drivers each year. I am sure to look extra tall for the young ones. They must learn and memorize where I am and what to do. I never forget to silently say my hellos and pray for each and every driver that is stopped by me. I then bid them farewell and to have safe travels! I always look forward to seeing them. It is an honor to do such a great service to my country and the people of my new home. I am part of a team. This team is called the law enforcement. I feel much honored to have the job of making all the people of my town stop for just a few seconds in their day to take a look. I protect the cars of Sharpsville from getting scuffed up. My friends have much too beautiful cars to ruin. If my friends do not stop, they get in trouble with my team mate; the police. He does what I cannot do. He will make them stop and enforce the law. I am there to remind them what the law is. It is up to them to obey. Speaking of my human friends, they are my favorite part of my job! They really are the best. I get to learn an abundance of new things each day from them. I feel like I am pretty hip for being a stop sign and all. I know all the new
