They include having many failures, not having any close friends, and the loss of his younger brother Allie. Since his many failures at school, Holden has been in a downward spiral that will eventually lead to his mental break down. Not being able to talk to any close friends makes Holden’s depression much worse. Holden thinks that he should be dead instead of his brother Allie which does not help with his depression. If Holden’s parents had let him go to a school near his apartment he might have been able to establish a few long term relationships.
In the novel, Finney repeatedly refuses to listen to the facts of Gene breaking Finney’s leg because he “do[esn’t] care,” (Knowles 151). Because Finney wouldn’t listen, he ran out and ends up breaking his own leg, and since he is reluctant to face reality, he gets sent to the hospital. Likewise, during the movie, even when Neil is not allowed to participate in the play, because of his strong passion for acting he still goes on with his part, though it upsets his father deeply (Dead Poets’ Society). Because Neil acts in the play, it causes his father to be infuriated with him, and Finney’s father decides to ship him off to another school. Both examples show how each of the boys are opposed to face their own realities, and because of this they end up hurting themselves.

Error is something that every police officer has to learn from when it comes to being in a very hectic and unpredictable field. I believe there are many problems that law enforcement is going to have to deal with, for example drugs, corruption and personal health issues. When it comes to drugs I believe that this issue is only going to get much worse because everyday people are coming up with new and crazy stuff. Just last month we heard of a new drug called “bath salts” and a couple of days later we here of a person eating the face of another person because they were high on this new drug, the person doing the eating was shot to death by officers because there was no controlling him. Drugs are very dangerous but so it is understandable
He is of average intelligence but has a hard time with reading comprehension, which caused him to be held back a grade. At 16 he also falls into the same stage of Identity vs. Role confusion as Ponyboy. With parents that fight a lot and are alcoholics it seems like he was unable to learn any kind of coping skills and relies a lot on what other people tell him to do. His shyness and a social awkwardness lead to the question of abuse and PTSD; this belief is also substantiated as he has a scar on his check from being beaten by 5 grown men. Johnny also has frequent thoughts of suicide which could be due to depression, feeling unloved by his parents, socially undesirable, seeing himself as “out of place” even amongst friends, and that he internalizes that actions of others.
The stories are autobiographical episodes of his life such as his 3 firings with the NJ RR. His father’s disapproval of his young friends and his school teacher taking him to the theater. His feelings of rage because his skin color caused him not to be served at restaurants although he got take out food at some. He discovered his murderous impulse to kill or be killed at the white restaurant after he threw the water pitcher at the white hostess in Trenton NJ. He detailed his silent treatment
I would say his father – he didn’t give him any attention when he came home from school and had being bullied, he doesn’t ask how it goes in school. Inside he was hurt, he was holding it all back and suddenly he exploded. He got this idea that he would shot at the school and then his friends said that he was a pussy and wouldn’t do it – and that was the final push – he couldn’t stand it anymore, it became too much. “Warning” is the headline because this story about Andy Williams is a warning to all those who bullies young student, because sometime it can become too
