Speech review. Steve Jobs 2005 Stanford commencement. Apple Inc. – American transnational corporation, based in Cupertino, California, that created united closed ecosystem between company’s products. Most valuable company in the world. Well-known for cult-following of their products by consumers. One of the pioneers of computer industry. Steve Jobs were very ambiguously person, best-known for his “unique” and “innovative” approach to development and design of his creations. He was one of computer pioneers, Zen-Buddhist and was often called as a “consumer electronics industry reformer”. He dropped out from Reed College to “make his own way”. His work as CEO at Apple was full of rise and falls, which led him to be fired up from Apple in 1985, but with return in 1997. His thoughts and behavior engendered his cult-following by Apple clients, especially increased after his death in 2011. In his commencement at Stanford College in 2005, he said a few sentences, which became his famous quotes. I’ll try to explain some of them. “Sometimes life hits your head with a brick. Don’t lose faith” – Steve meant that life doesn’t consist of luck and fortune. Sometimes you may fail and lose something really important. But you must always think about future and don’t let your hands fall down. There’s always must be a purpose and aspiration to create. “Keep looking. Don’t settle” – You must always find new missions and ways to solve a problem. By progressing yourself, you will progress the world around you. “If you live each day as if it’s your last someday you’ll certainly be right” – You must give it all to your every act. There no such thing as “now is not the time”. “Stay hungry. Stay foolish” – Don’t be satisfied by current state of things. Perfection is impossible, but ways to achieve it are
