Steve Job's Vision For Apple

The type of organization structure that would best fit Apple’s creative edge is a core culture. A core culture, as described in the text book Exploring Management, “is found in the underlying values of the organization.” Furthermore in the book core culture “consists of the core values or underlying assumptions and beliefs that shape and guide people’s behaviors.” The reason I believe that a core culture would best suit Apple’s creative edge is because creativity that is one of Apple’s core values. Where would Apple be if their company wasn’t creative? Probably bankrupt and out of business. It is the creativity of the people that work of the company to keep coming out with new gadgets that people love. I have an iPhone and I don’t know what I would do without it. It truly is the best phone I have ever had and because of multiple peoples’ creativity I am able to utilize it to its fullest capacity. I can do so much with it, that it is really hard to imagine my life without it. More so, I am currently writing this paper on a MacBook Pro, another one of Apple’s many gadgets. Sure I could of gone with a regular PC, but who wants virus’? Not me, thats why I chose it. I just believe that a core culture would best fit the Apple “business model” best because it allows for everyone in the business to be creative and innovative, which is pretty much the definition of their business. First off, I’m confused by the question when it says “the Jobs,” but I think it’s referring to Steve Jobs, so here I go. I think Steve Jobs should push for incremental change or no change at all. In my opinion there company isn’t broken at this time so why fix what isn’t broken? However, time changes really fast and in order to be an industry leader one must adapt to new technologies and integrate them into products for consumers such as ourselves.
