According to the article there are some positive’s to short-term steroid use, but short-term steroid use is not the problem. Steroids become a problem when they are used over a long period of time. Some of side effects of long-term steroid use are Glaucoma, Cataracts, High-blood pressure, Heart disease, and Osteoporosis. Evaluation: This article gives great examples of what steroids can do the human body, both in the short term and the long term. I don’t like how the article gives examples of how steroids can be beneficial, because that really doesn’t agree with my argument. As an overall evaluation this is a very solid article all around, it gives great examples of the sides effects in long-term steroid abuse in a neat and orderly fashion. Reflection: This source helped me gain more information on the terrible side effects of steroids. I would use this source because it gives a great examples of diseases caused by steroids.
