Essay Three In today’s world, women have become icons of the fashion industry and, furthermore, pushed into societal expectations. Stephen Chernin, a photographer, captured an image of a model during the Spring 2010 fashion week. In this image, a beautiful model is having her make up applied by a fashion designer name Derek Lam. The only part of the woman’s face a person can see is the part that is being painted in the make-up. The other piece of her face is in a black shade, hidden from the eye. I find that this was done intentionally because only the part of her that is turned into something different matters.
