To get a higher education is perhaps crossing the biggest milestone of your life. A college education is a very valuable thing and everyone should get one, so that we can all be enlightened and help make our society a better place. A college is a place where people come together in an environment that helps nurture their educational curiosities. For example, a college student and a high school student have a lot of differences when it comes to doing stuff like work because a student from college can rationalize than a high school student.
Now what’s a con to having scholarships and fellowships taxed? Well if you’re like most people in America you can’t pay for your college up front so have to take out loans and scholarships to help support you going to school? No matter who you are college isn’t cheap now if the scholarships and fellowships are taxed that’s less money that actually gets to the school so you end up paying more. Also would have more debt. For some people that’s the only way that they can afford to be in school.
There are various reasons as to why I would like to attain an education. It is not easy in my region, being a single mother and living on a basic salary. The aim of obtaining a better job and being able to be promoted are just a few reasons why I am passionate about excelling in the academic arena. As long as I can achieve this, then I will be more than able to earn a higher income, thus landing me in a better position to support myself and my children. There is much personal satisfaction to gain from earning a college degree.
Most people that think a higher education should be free are not very wealth but there are programs like financial aide to help them if they have the desire to get a higher education. If a higher education is just handed to them they begin to take things for granted and if that happens then they expect everything to be handed to them. So if America paid for the higher education of its citizens, America would not improve but eventually fail. Not paying for the higher education insures there will be service jobs; people that don’t have the desire to try in college will not waste the government’s money, and utilize
Nowadays, a college education is not just a qualification a person should elect to partake; it is an essential part for the overall success of the individual in general. Certain individuals find it challenging to define the worth of a college instruction. Attaining a college graduation offers a greater remuneration, more prospects and self-fulfilment. Although I concur with the aforementioned explanations, I have supplementary reasons I agree that a college education is of high importance to me. First, college education will permit me to afford a better living standards for my family and household.
Private security or police are generally better educated and have access to more security equipment. (Carter, 2003). Public police are employed by the government and therefore the tax payers. Since they are funded by the taxpayers they must use the budget that they are allotted. This means that they cannot afford the latest security equipment and they are less likely to have highly educated individuals because police officers go through the police academy before becoming a police officer rather than college.
Although, private schools did not just affect the social levels, it affected many other things such as the economy, for instance. Equally important, was the affect of schooling on public literacy and knowledge. Schooling back when America was still forming as a nation was only free to the poor, which meant that the upper classes had the necessity to pay for their child’s schooling. After a few years, people, such as reformists, felt that schooling needed to be free and paid by the government in order to encourage people to get an education. Eventually, the society complied, and instated that primary education be free for all.
It is a fact that by going to college a person will get better jobs for higher salaries. People also attend college so he/she can choose a high paying career. A person will lead a better and less stressful life if their financial status is never a problem. That would leave time for many things that could enrich a person’s life as opposed to working for ninety percent of it. Without going to college, people will make minimum wage, if he/she do make good money, it is because he/she are breaking their backs for it.
You will also be less likely to lose your job in the future if you have a college degree. 5. Be More Marketable – It may be difficult to find jobs in the current economy, but having a college degree is one of the best things you can do to make yourself more marketable to employers. 6. Catholic and other religious private schools are, on average, $6,000 to $7,000 dollars per year. The education children receive in private schools is far superior to public schools, and per capita, the price is technically cheaper.
