Now Hiring Starbucks Barista JOB DESCRIPTION: Starbucks Barista MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: Starbucks Baristas most important job is to provide great customer service. Baristas must be able to great they customers with a warm welcome and a smile. Baristas duties are to take customer orders and fulfill those orders. Baristas have to be able to operate a cash register and handle the customers’ form of payment, which can vary from debit card, credit card, cash, or check. Baristas must be able to mix several types of drinks and know all the drink types. You must be able to know how to operate the machines to make the different drinks offered. You must clean your work area, coffee machines, and tables. You also will serve the drinks to the customers. Job Qualifications: It is important you know the various products we sell here at Starbucks, if you do not you must be able to learn them quickly. Cashier experience is not necessary, but a good skill to have. Must have a great personality and work well with others. There will be constant standing and some heavy lifting. You must also be able to follow instructions when needed. Salary & Compensation: The starting pay for most Baristas is between minimum wage to $10 an hour. The amount depends on your experience and the location you are hired. Employment Benefits Qualified Starbucks baristas receive health benefits, such as medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
