Firstly, people may not be responsible for their acts. Statistics show that in the USA most executions that took place; people were proven to be insane [1].The effect of this is injustice and unfair due to the fact the person was not aware of what he or she was doing. They are in a state of mind which prevents normal behaviour. Moreover some see it as immoral which leads to disadvantages. As people state “to take a life when a life is lost is revenge, not justice”.

The Death Penalty Danielle Mitchell June 21, 2013 ENG/215 Kathryn Geranios As we people grow up they are told that killing is bad and that it is wrong; meanwhile, our government is killing people as “punishment” of a crime. It is ironic how we are told not to do something, and the same people telling us not to kill are doing the killing. There are 32 states that have capital punishment. Those 32 states need to abolish the capital punishment for good because there are people who get wrongly accused, it is an inhumane way of dealing with crimes, scientific studies
Did Sacco and Vanzetti had a fair trial? Why not? Were they guilty of the crime? No , Sacco and Vanzetti didn’t have a fair trail as they didn’t commit any crime but they got arrested and sentenced to death just because they are anarchists and confessed that they hated the capitalism and the American system of the government. Also, the Americans who tried them are all biases and when the court case was trailed, it was the height of the red scare so all Americans were being so paranoid when they knew that a murder case had something to do with foreigners and they didn’t even find out what the truth was and just assumed that Sacco and Vanzetti were the attackers.
Journal Entry (Personal Choice): Critical Reading Mayberry Author- Josh Sugarmann Page numbers 6 Summary- The article I read was called the NRA is Right it actually mainly shows how the author is against the right to bear arms. All he keeps bringing up is statistical rates that the NRA and police are applying to. He rather keep his own opinion to himself and just go off of what other people are say to try and show that guns are not the best choices to be held and used. He did give many true facts but also many of his own opinion. He mainly stayed on the fact that people kill them self and cause murder.
Another example is serial killers. They kill masses of people, showing no remorse, so the clearly don’t have much moral awareness. If God wanted them to stop and become more morally aware, he could
Recently there have been several attacks that are nationally publicized for their inconceivable cruelty. Cruelty doesn’t really capture the injustice and breeches of morality that are associated with the murders of children, defenseless men, women, and children. We- the country- is baffled with these attacks. Feeling the pressure to solve these problems on a national level, a societal level, a political level; even on our own individual levels. It is imperative to note that these attacks aren’t just gun related, but are committed using methods designed to make sure the highest number of people are hurt or killed as possible- the killers are attacking with the intent to kill people, innocent or not, on a mass level with no care for their own
N’Kia West April 22, 2014 English 1010 Professor Jones The Mind Behind the Crime There are many known serial killers out in this world, and of course, these serial killers are not favorited by people. Many people do not know exactly why they kill, though there are simple reasons, maybe because of their childhood, not getting the love and support that any child should get, or maybe because of a mental disorder. But what makes a serial killer conceive of such malicious acts and with disregards of morality and consequence? What drives someone to such drastic measures to go as far as killing another? Do they do it for pleasure and ease?
The Code of Hammurabi had several violations that warranted the death penalty. In our society today, these offenses seem minor and not deserving of such an extreme punishment. For example, if a person stole anything and did not pay for it or return the stolen merchandise, they would be put to death. Also, if a person built a house, and it collapsed and killed the owner who moved in, the builder would be put to death. The Law of Moses would put people to death for sins such as smiting or cursing their mother or father, and stealing a slave.
There are instances where owning a gun may dissolve a conflict before the police or anyone who could even remotely help would be able to arrive. Showing those criminals how they are viewed by pointing a gun back at them causes them to quaver in their choice to wreak havoc. As gun control is such a controversial topic that leads to arguments of whether it should be legalized or not, the idea that we would not be able to defend ourselves, should the need arise, is a horrific nightmare and almost a terrible reality. Legalizing gun control will only further the pain caused to our county through the many instances that have occurred in the past and recently. 6.
