I had recently donated money to the nearest retail store that had been collecting donations for this organization. TEAM A Ataa Nyamekye Michael Weinreich Case: The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute The key decision maker in this case is Dr. Stephen Sallan, Senior Oncologist and Physician-in-Chief of the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Key Facts: The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is among one of the best cancer centers for both oncological research and clinical care in the United States. Founded in 1947, the institute was originally focused on treated cancers in children. By placing top laboratory researchers in the same physical building as expert clinical physicians, the hope was that “the problems of the patients would be brought up to the labs and ideas from the labs would go down to the patients.” The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute was placed within close proximity to other well-known hospitals and research centers such as the Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Beth Israel-Deaconess Medical Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, and Harvard Medical School. As such, patients who walked into the Cancer Institute knew by the very reputation and geographical ties to other research institutions, that they would be subject of various research protocols and the newest and cutting edge treatment protocols.

Don’t get me wrong, someone helping out a homeless person is still very honorable and compassionate thing to do; however what a doctor is doing could save millions of lives. Each organization is different, and they all have different jobs. At the end of the day, each nonprofit organization is doing something great to help out their communities. Nonprofit pay levels should be set on what the job entails and how much work is put into it. A good example is a nonprofit medical organization that specializes in oncology.
The vaccine is the first of its kind to build immunity against two strains of HPV, which lead to 70% of cervical cancer cases in the United States. Merck was on a roll until parents, who were being threatened with state mandates forcing their little girls to get three doses started. Quality in Healthcare Kaiser Permanente, which is the largest not-for-profit health plan, has been going through a supply chain transformation as a result of Obamacare and the growing impact of consumerism. Before starting this transformation, Kaiser Permanente did not feel the need to even exercise some basic tenants of supply chain management. Five years ago, when Laurel Junk who is the Vice President of Kaiser’s Supply Chain Management joined the organization, she noticed a few management problems that Kaiser had. For example, nurses would spend time looking for needed products when instead they could be more organized and have more time to spend with the patients. Overall, Kaiser had very little to no coordination on their sourcing,
A child’s health care is the important concern of a pediatrician. A pediatrician is a doctor who specializes in pediatrics. They put their skills to use to care for children from infants throughout their teenage years. Parents prefer to have their children treated by nurses and pediatricians because children have special health care needs and those certain needs would only be left up to a pediatrician because that’s what pediatricians are for. Pediatrician can perform physical examination, measure vital statistics, take blood and urine samples, and prescribes certain medication for sick children.
