Sports should be compulsory in the school curriculum Sport is a very important part of people's lives, it relieves stress and keeps us healthy at the same time. There are many reasons for sports to be compulsory in the school curriculum but here are only a few; health is as important as education, some students want a career that includes a sports education and most people who don't exercise when their young wouldn't do it when they’re old either. Firstly, health is as, if not more, important than education. If you do not exercise than you will become unhealthy and sick. How many times were you absent from school just because of a cold? If you get sick you will either not go to school or you won't be able to concentrate during classes. It has been scientifically proven that concentration improves after you have done sports and sports actually makes you happy. This is one reason to make sports compulsory in school but some students also want a sports career. Secondly, some students want a career that includes a sports education. If we go to school to make it easier for us in the future to get a job then why can't we learn sports if we want to become a sport teacher or player? Just like how some people want to become maths teachers and they learn maths at school, some people want to become sports teachers so they have a right to learn it at school too. For students who want to become maths teachers that think that learning sports is pointless, isn't it unfair that those who don't want to become maths teachers but sports teachers still have to learn maths? Also when people don't do sorts at a young age they would most likely never do it. Finally, most people who don't exercise when their young tend to not do it when they're older either.
