Why gym class (P.E.) should, and shouldn’t be counted against your GPA. Physical education is required by almost every school in the country, and the grades are counted against the students G.P.A. This causes a problem for some students that are physically unfit, but need to keep up a good grade to maintain a good G.P.A. An easy solution for this would be to take off gym as a class that counts against a students G.P.A, but many schools and universities do not agree to this.
If kids miss a day it will result in missing out on learning new things and they would need to make work up. Some students even have the opportunity to go to the nurse for being ill and miss out on school work which is not efficient learning. In conclusion, school should start later because there are many benefits and students would feel more alert throughout the day. Many students have a hard time waking up in the morning and would support the idea. School should start later in the morning because students need their rest, there are various benefits, and it would be a better learning experience for
Because they are more interested into the newest type of technology. If children big in size and they get bullied for it, they are going to feel very self-conscious. If children join in on fitness they are going to be healthier and are going to feel better about their selves. The sport expenses are very high these days and make it hard for parents to put the children in a sport as there are no cheap sports and/or activities. Due to the expenses of food and school it is difficult for parents to pay for sports.
Health It is important that a child has a healthy diet, a good sleeping pattern and lots of routine in their life to help them engage in physical activities. For example if a child doesn’t sleep well or have a healthy diet their development will suffer as they will have poor concentration due to being tired all the time and not having the essential nutrients in their bodies. Their behaviour will change and will have a negative impact on their school work. . Environment Children are usually the product of the environment they grew up in.
Cons Cons of Year Round School There are some very strong reasons for not implementing a year round school schedule. These include, but are not limited, to: * Families with different children on different tracks have a difficult time. * With families that have multiple children in school, they will sometimes find it difficult to make plans for before or after school or to schedule family vacations. * School clubs like band, sports, theatre and cheerleading, have difficult time practicing with frequent breaks. * Teachers that coach these activities find that just because they are on vacation doesn’t mean the activity stops.
Some of these schools do not have the needed funds to implement these polices, but people within the community do. The children in our schools right now are our future leaders and we need to ensure they live a long healthy life. They are the ones who will be running this country in a few years; health problems due to obesity will impair their abilities to perform at their best and will shorten their lives. We need to care for our young to ensure the nations future. We need to show them that they matter to us by implementing health polices and by helping fund school
The first thing that these student athletes should be worrying about is there academics and with all the extra money they would get for playing would break their concentration and create more nationally know problems in the college sports world. Most of these players have the big goal of playing professional sport. This is still a pipe dream to those who aren’t stars, with a few exceptions. So therefore these student athletes should focus on their academics before they worry about getting paid to play. They don’t need the pay because they are there on scholarship or other types of pay that is keeping them in the school.
Students need to be focused, and this focus drives them to succeed. Many students, due to different circumstances, lose their focus. This can always be disastrous for their well-being as well as their future. An on-site daycare at colleges will also reduce the number of students missing class or absenteeism. Class attendance facilitates learning in a variety of ways.
Just like anything else in life, it takes practice, and you will get better out of practice when you like the certain field than when you don’t, a good reason to why these types of arguments should be included in school arguments. School work sometimes isolates you from others. Graff says that “When you entered sports debates, you become part of a community that was not limited to your family and friends, but was national and public.”(They Say I Say, page 384) Also, schools don’t really notice how good arguments are made due to sports coming into play.
For kids, playing sports should be a time of fun, a way to build social skills and promote healthy self-esteem. Unfortunately, these simple concepts can be lost in the wake of parental pressure to succeed and be the best. This paper will discuss different effects that parental pressure can have on children athletes such as burnout, anxiety and expectations and injury. No parent signs their kids up to play sports with the hope that their child will one day hate the chosen sport. They sign them up with the expectations that their child will have fun, learn to be socially skilled or have a healthier childhood.
