Spokane County is located on the eastern side of Washington State. Spokane gets its name from the Spokane Indian tribe. It’s the fourth in the state for population. This county was formed on January 29, 1958. The county is 1,781 square miles, and 17 square miles of water. The highest point of elevation is Mount Spokane with an elevation of 5883 feet. There are many lakes and rivers in Spokane County making this county a gem in the summer time. In the winter time there are multiple ski resorts to visit. Spokane County is a very recreational area with multiple activities available in all seasons. The county consists of multiple cities with the city of Spokane being the largest city.
