People have lived in vans since the 1960’s. but recently, it is becoming a trend and it is growing fast. Over 2 million people are living nomadically in their van, bus, or even jeeps. Insert thesis here!!!Being nomad improves the way of life, by gaining new knowledge, freedom, or having great adventures! The van life community is so big with a vast diversity of people and everyone has their own motive! Living in cities is stressful at sometimes and we do not appreciate all that we have as much as we should but living on wheels will surely open our eyes to reality! firstly,TheNomadicMovement, a couple who wants to make a difference in every city they visite. They are raising money to feed the homeless by selling candles they make in recycled bottles that were left at camping sites. With all the money raised they prepare, cook, and package the meals inside their bus. They have fed over 531 homeless with a goal of giving out 1000 meals to the homeless. Secondly, Ben from HastaAlaska started his adventure in chili with a goal to finish his journey in alaska! He has been on the road for 3 352 days and he finally is in alaska. His motive was to share the adventure with as many people he could. During all this time he has been posting vlogs on youtube showing his experiences. But anyone who wanted to join the doors to his 1991 kombi where wide open! He travelled more than 8 000 with over 100 people who joined in and millions of views on youtube! Thirdly, all the new people that you will meet are all different in the van life community, from kids that just got out of highschool to chase after their dreams to older folks that want to enjoy retirement. Some people have their own coffee shop in their vans, others a restaurant, but mostly the van is there home. Cities are loud, busy, crowded, and it will sure become overwhelming and stressful at some times, in are big city house we can order a meal from a click of a button,and we have a couch to lay on when the weather is bad but we do not appreciate any of it! First of all, There is a clear link between city living and mental illness. Recent studies from arkin mental health institution shows that living in a city increases the chance of mental illness such as anxiety by 21%, and mood disorders by 39%! also in the cities there is always a crowd nearby, you are never alone, people are just everywhere! It will sure create some social insecurities and may cause depression! Second of all, a factor of being a nomad is Being minimalist! But being minimalist is more than only having the basics! It is having extra room in your living space,relieving stress, and appreciating life to its fullest! people are now living with twice the amount of items in their house than they had fifty years ago! And the average size of an american house has tripled in size during the same time frame, homes also contain more television than people and most are not being used!
