Well, we finally made it back to the old mine around four-thirty. It took a little over an hour because of the washouts but we made pretty good time in my opinion. As soon as we got there we looked for wood to build a fire for hotdogs. We were starving after the exhilarating swim at the falls and the long exciting ride back to the mine. After eating some hotdogs we headed down the rocky unbeaten path to the mineshaft.
After the first couple days of getting used to everything and getting settled in, the cabins start doing activities together. For example, we may go on the obstacle course which includes a zip line or go rappelling down the side of a mountain. If we have an activity to do we will wake up around 6:30 a.m. and walk to what we are doing. After our activity we will walk back to camp and go to breakfast. The food at Young Life camp is to die for.
In the one hour long special that really touched my heart it shows how this overgrowing crisis is getting out of hand and how us as Americans need to lend a helping hand to stop this. By helping start more programs in my community and helping give students enough nutritious food to get them through weekends, hand-delivering meals to students’ homes during summer break, and providing services to their families and local food kitchens we would decrease a lot of this. We can also help out by calling our governors to help out. Hunger Hits Home made it clear that America’s hunger crisis is occurring in every neighborhood in the United States. And they also make it clear that when everyone contributes to making a difference, we can stop hunger in its tracks and give every child a healthy, happy

The town all comes together and plays games and celebrates the growth of the town since it was founded. Bigger cities seem to struggle more with this part because of the large variety of people who live in the city. In Ellijay, most people like the same things, but in large cities such as Jacksonville, it is harder to create a festival that everyone would support and enjoy at the same time. The scene at these festivals are family-oriented and all the town’s people sit around and reminisce. The difference in the two cities when comparing these type of events are
According to Candace L. Gregory, President /CEO, “Phase III is the Garland Thompson Men’s Center under construction at present. Completion of this facility is undetermined at this time. Once the men’s centered is finished it will be a place where homeless men can learn to thrive independently, it will provide all the tools needed to prevent and end the cycle of homelessness and poverty in the Heartland” (Candace L. Lack bed space, most non-Mexican illegal immigrants apprehended are released and directed to return for a court appearance. However, 75 percent fail to show.
