This article informs the reader about the different cases of accused mothers abusing their child for attention. At Sierra Vista Arizona in 2002 a mother named Kelley Savage suffers from Münchausen by proxy. The article states that her child's first incident started at one week old and she continued to poison her child, at the age of two years old the healthy born child had feeding tubes. A suspicious pediatric doctor from Fort Worth's children hospital placed the child in one of the rooms that was under surveillance. The mother was found tampering with the child's feeding tube, trapping air bubbles in the feeding tube line making the child sicker.
When an adult uses spanking as a way to react, rather than act, it becomes fuzzy as to when you should or should not spank a child. Opponents of spanking state that spanking is done out of anger and that the kids never learn a lesson from spanking done this way. It would clearly show them this happens when mommy or daddy is mad. Later when it is discovered that Claireece is pregnant with her second baby the highschool has to suspend her.
Spanking helps to teach our kids right from wrong and what path they should follow, if the spanking is a negative treatment that stops them from doing things like, fighting, stealing, lying and any other negative behaviour that will make them not want to do it anymore. It will teach them that the consequences of that behaviour are good and they won’t do it anymore, so child spanking is not abusive it is teaching and instructing. While observing Aliza on July 19th I noticed how well she played with others. I watched and listened how she played with her older cousin, Sandra. Sandra was the mother and Aliza was the daughter. While playing this game I notice how Aliza would actually whimper like a little baby and act as if she were sucking a pacifier to sooth her crying. I also notice how she changed the tone of her voice as an attempt to get into the character of the baby.
Research show most mothers enter their daughter into this pageant for bragging rights. Is this something they should be bragging about? It has also been shown that girls who were forced into beauty pageants at too young of an age show signs of (but not limited to): Over-competitiveness, low self-esteems, large desire for some kind of plastic surgery. A child, especially a female that is going to pay so much attention to her looks and that knows she is being assessed for it, is very prone to develop eating disorders, such as anorexia or bulimia. Most opinions still lean toward spanking being a form of abuse and that spanking a child is totally unacceptable because striking a young child will not actually teach them to be good. Spanking also hurts children mentally and spanking a child is no different from hitting some one else. The majority of parents that hit their kids are at the point of frustration and anger where they feel that spanking is the last thing left for them to do. We have to show our limits and guide our children in positive behavior so that we can avoid spanking or any other form of corporate punishment. As to me, hitting or spanking our children is not the best way to influence them in being well behaved. They would behave better if we don’t spank them just punish them in other ways of talk to them.
