A Dramatic Change Throughout my whole life, I’ve always had my dad by my side to help and support me with difficult decisions, to teach me the ways of life, and how to approach things in life. Until one day, we got some news. Growing up as a kid, I’ve always idolized my father because he will do anything in his power to make his family happy; even if it means moving half way across the country to support us. He’s even gone as far as working in Israel. In the last five year, the real estate market has dropped and that’s what has caused him to follow his love for selling mobile homes in North Dakota. As I describe this life changing event, you will understand the pressure and they type of lifestyle that we had to acquire with him no longer being in our everyday lives. On the day of July 29th, 2013 my father got an interesting phone call from a gentleman that was intrigued with my dad’s level of expertise and talent level in which he has with the real estate business. As I was listening to their conversation, I could tell that this man was really telling my father the kind of stuff he wanted to hear. This video meeting went on for two hours, and I was getting nervous because I had a feeling that this might be the job that he’s been waiting for all of his life. The man offered my father run his Mobile Home business, and my dad took the job. When he broke the news to us, we were happy because this is what he loves to do; this is his passion. As time progressed, I started to get sad because I knew that by the end of the week, my dad will be a five-hour plane ride away. Knowing he will gone, I started to think about what it’s going to be like without him. I’ve never had a job because my parents have supported me, so that’s the first thing I have to do when he leaves.
