There are few scientists that have been renowned for causing great change in the United States, and Dr. Wernher von Braun was one of those. In addition, he was arguably one of most important scientists of the twentieth century. There is much that has come from the actions of this one man. The U.S. military was able to attain some of the world’s best rockets, and gained a critical edge in the Space Race between the United States and the Soviet Union. Von Braun was also a strong advocate for space programs and inspired many individuals through determination and perseverance to shoot for their dreams.
Because of the depression in 1929, people needed employment, and support through a particular group of people during this tough time. When Speer was a University lecturer, he attended a rally where Hitler spoke. Speer was impressed; Hitler wasn’t at all what Speer expected. He spoke about his love of Germany and compassion and also dressed well which Speer related to, “I was greatly impressed, not only with Hitler's proposals, but also with the man himself”. Albert Speer wasn’t any ordinary citizen, he was smart and sophisticated.

NASA has greatly influenced our field of computer technology. They have helped with things in this area such as: Virtual Reality and the Air Quality Monitor. Virtual Reality allows a person to enter a computer generated environment. Also the simulation moves with your head movement and is combined with a Stereo viewing device wich creates the ultimate experience. The Air Quality Monitor seperates different gasses in smokestacks and determins the amount of gases present so as to meet the smokestack emission requirements.
Armstrong was provided with many opportunities that continued to shape not only his professional career but his personal life. He flew aircraft that included a multitude of makes and models of aircraft. He was provided the advantage of attending multiple colleges, which nonetheless encouraged him to continue to chase his dream”NASA- National Aeronautics and Space Administration.” In addition to his dreams of outer space exploration, Neil Armstrong was awarded the American Dream of a wife and family. A successful career and a family to share it with seemed to be the very lifeblood of his dream.
