Another theme is finding courage to pursue one’s dreams depicted when Max overcomes his fear of singing in front of a large crowd and builds up confidence. Furthermore, there’s a lot of deception in this play in order to get what one wants. Saunders convinces Max to sing in order for him to not lose his job and also raise money for the company. Max uses deception to win his love. Julia seduces Tito to advance her singing career.
(Wharton 24) Dancing can be seen as a symbol of sexual pleasure. (Neboliterature) Ethan enjoyed watching Mattie dance but when she was dancing with another young man he became slightly jealous, this is a natural jealous, evil, feeling that is present when some ones id is not satisfied. Ethan yearned to be dancing with Mattie, instead he was discreetly hiding behind the church. The unsatisfied feeling in Ethan grows every time he is with Mattie; this is because of his superego. The natural desire quickly builds up though, and he longs to be with her.
On their first meeting, “Kamala smiled and played with her fan… and thereupon Kamala laughed aloud” (Hesse 44). Her smiles and laughter represent her knowledge of love and sex that she passes on to Siddhartha. In this case, they do not represent enlightenment, but destiny because she was meant to be his lover and teacher and guide through Samsara. Yet, as Siddhartha falls deeper into Samsara, he becomes unhappy and finally leaves. He only finds himself happy again after he attempts suicide.
With string, brass, woodwind, and percussion the music became dramatic and kind of heavy mood to it. I think the concert went well, organized, and great performance. I like how they did where they have a dance performance, for me it’s very unusual for a concert or a symphony concert to have a ballet dance with the orchestra. I would go again and recommend it to someone who also loves to listen to this type of
Written by Maurice Yvain and lyrics by Channing Pollack, the song is about her man, that doesn't seem to be the best guy around but he's hers to keep and she loves him so. I love the popular music of back then compared to now because it's all the same. It's all about love, and how unhappy we are but somehow we manage to find happiness through the fight of wanting to be happy. I feel Brice had a very easy time doing this song, not just because she was a fabulous performer but because she had some of her own 'Man' problems of her

Hearing Blossom Dearie sing is a surreal experience. She is a vocalist who has a uniqueness,
charm, and range unlike any other. A natural cabaret singer best suited to comedic songs and other"light"repertoire, Blossom can just as quickly turn around and draw you into the most aching, beautiful love song possible. She is the girl you fall in love with because her lyrics leave you with the impression that she too is in love, and you can not help but smile. A singer, pianist and songwriter, with a 'wispy, little-girlish' voice, Dearie is regarded as one of the great supper club singers (Line)
Her father was of Scottish and Irish descent; her mother emigrated from Oslo, Norway.
When Romeo, extremely depressed about his situation with Rosaline, and his friends went to a dance at the Capulet house, Benvolio attempted to help Romeo get his mind off Rosaline and cheer him up when he promised to make him "think thy swan (Rosaline) a crow" (I, ii, 94). Because of this promise, Benvolio tried to keep Rosaline off Romeo's mind and keep Mercutio from reminding Romeo of her all night. Benvolio's character keeps the play balanced by representing the good that keeps the other characters
People can become more educated and experience personal growth through the exposure of how others feel and think as expressed in their music. These expressed musical experiences can allow others to know in some measure what it is like to be the depressed person, or to be shunned as an outcast socially. Other music may educate the sexes on their counterparts, thus enhancing interpersonal relationships. Music helps some people in times of trouble, especially adolescent children dealing with fitting in with the peers during the awkward stages of puberty. Many songs have lifted the spirits of those downtrodden and in despair.
Although this musical rarely breaks the fourth wall we will incorporate this into our version to add more non naturalistic features and make our performance unique. The other elements of kneehigh such as song, dance and the asides do engage the audience in a sense that they will be clinging onto the characters dialogue and song. Another feature of kneehigh used would be multi rolling as all of the members of the group will be taking on more than one role e.g. the person playing the tin man is also playing Aunt Em and the person playing the Wicked Witch is playing the Great and Powerful
I’m a dancer who likes to dance to any music that I can easily make up choreography to. Whenever I always listen to music I tend to create a dance in my mind out of the song I am listening to. Honestly I really can't sum my life up only on one page but I’ll do my best. I love to laugh and have a good time, I'm usually smiling and if I’m not, most likely something’s wrong. I laugh over the littlest and stupidest things.
